If you were given the job of making a new passive for Kog'Maw, what would you make it?

I don't personally believe he needs a new passive, but it always has felt like one of the more outdated ones lol.

If Riot personally commissioned you to create a new passive, what would you make it? Numbers aren't necessary just the general idea

Kog'Maw's entire thing is that he really just wants to nom sone dudes. He gets so excited at the prospect of eating that as he begins to cover his opponent in stomach acid, he can almost taste what's to come. His body is filled with adrenalin as he gets excited for his next meal.

After Kog'Maw has applied 3 instances of damage to his target, gain increased movement speed within x radius of said target.

His autos stacks -Armor/Magic Resist debuffs on targets up to a certain amount. Make it flat too so it impacts non tanks harder.

Wouldn’t help too much vs low max HP carries like marksmen and typical mages, but those pesky divers/juggernauts/battlemage will have to think twice when they can’t just nuke kog [sg-syndra]

I'd probably add a survival mechanic to his passive.

Something along the lines of, when Kog reaches 1 hp, he gets 3 secs of invulnerability and if he gets a kill (not an assist) he revives with 10% max hp

Passive: Neverending Hunger

Kog'maw's attacks mark the target with Acidic Saliva. When Kog'maw attacks a target within melee range, his auto attacks deal X amount of additional damage, increased by how many stacks of Acidic Saliva the target has. If Kog'maw kills an enemy in this way, he regains X HP. Minions heal for less.

Think about Kog'maw biting you, but you take more damage the more saliva you have. Then, when low enough, he just munches ya and yells "KEEP COMING, NOT FULL!". KogMaw

I wouldn't because the power has to be pulled elsewhere from his kit and that's probably not a worthwhile exchange to make.

Hes called mini baron for a reason so i would say if you stand still while you auto you gain defensive stats and a big lifesteal bonus or some shit

I believe in simple fixes to simple problems. Kog now explodes immediately on death, rather than having to chase people down, dealing damage (! not true damage) and leaving a puddle that heavily slows all enemies within a certain radius of his death for a short time. Radius would probably need to be somewhere between 375-500 units to matter, so would need to be fine tuned carefully.

Think of him as a gooey, acidic balloon. This kind of gives his ranged enemies something to think about when targeting him. If they have allies near him when they kill him, they will most likely cause those allies to die if somebody can capitalize on it.

It doesn't deviate much from his current kit, which you can't just disassemble one or two and expect the rest to remain balanced, but it gives his team a little something to play around as well. The problem with Kog is that even when tanks are gods, he is irrelevant as an ADC or as a mage (if anybody even bothers with AP anymore, which I doubt. Thanks a lot, Riot). Everybody else does his job better and safer - he brings nothing to the table. He needs an actual rework, not just a passive.

kogmaw lays an egg, when the egg hatches, baby kogmaw comes out and does tons of damage

Whenever kog attack a target 3 time, his hunger take the control of him and he start to increase his attack speed by a good amount until out of combat , bypassing max attack speed limit but deal 80% of his base damage .

I would remake him into a melee carry.

Passive: Ravenous Hunger

Kog's basic attacks deal 1/2/3% of the target's maximum health in true damage as long as he is not full (resource bar like rage). Each attack fills Kog's belly (resource bar) 4%, tripled when attacking champions and large monsters.

Deteriorates slowly while not in combat for 6 seconds.

Q: Nom!

Kog leaps a short distance to attach into an enemy champion, large or epic monster, gnawing on them for 2 seconds. Deals physical damage. Increases fullness by 10%.

While attached, the target cannot attack Kog (anyone else can attack him though).

W: Gunk Shot

Launches a ball of mucus forward, splashing in a cone behind the first enemy hit. All enemies hit take physical damage and are slowed. Costs 10% fullness.

E: Hunger Pain

When Kog attacks an enemy while below half fullness, he deals bonus damage and recovers extra fullness.

This may be activated while above 50% fullness to use 25% of fullness to launch a ranged attack that snares the target.

R: Bile Barrage

Requires at least 70% fullness. Over the next 5 seconds, Kog spews acidic bile ahead of him. (Think Rumble Flamethrower but straight line ahead). Cannot attack while channeling. Fullness is consumed over the duration. Deals extra damage based on total fullness when cast.

The funny option would be giving him zyras old passive xd. But instead of a thorn it's his own guts as a projectile.
