Is it top lane falt if mid loses lane

Last game I was top and my Riven roamed all game mid and I ping mia but not a lot because she was barely in lane since she was losing so bad. I took her tower and everything but my mid laner was flaming me hard for her losing lane becasue my riven ganked her several times. But I didnt know how to keep her in lane. I shoved hard into tower and I couldn't keep pushing because she would come back or shen would come. My mid lane was Plat 3 so I would assume she would be better than a gold V and learn some map awareness. I told her I cant keep riven in lane. My mid lane was 1-8 and telling me that I lost her lane and she would be fed if it wast for me. If it was my falt, how can I improve and keep my lane controlled? Should I roam more? I treyd to gank mid several times but since I was the only lane not feeding top was warded super hard and shen constantly had scud vision. I am always constantly blamed for stuff. Should I just mute people? or is it me?
