Is it trolling playing off meta

I had people trying to tell me in my last post that banning a champ or telling someone what no to pick is punishable and that they reprort people like me. So i want to know what you guys think. Lets say for example someone in ranked locked in Raka jungle. Are you going to sit there and leave raka unban or "Trust in your team and dont judge them" because I have had a lot of times I tryed trusting my team with things like that and I got screwed over. So if you saw someone pick Zoe in ranked would you ban her or let him play her and possibly be useless since she is all skill shots or pick lets say janna jungle. I just cant see how i am trolling when I dont want to lose ranked or risk something like that. I know I can dodge but that still counts as a loss. What do you guys do when this happens? I get it at least every 3 games. This is silver elo btw. I am not someone who trolls or hates on people that play off meta I just want to win ranked.

1st week when a new champion is released a lot of players will do terrible since its a new champion and not everyone is full aware what they do. I would ban new champions if you don't want it to be played in your team. There are few champions I will ban regardless if my team hovers it. If I accidently ban their champion I will apologize and move on. If the player cries about the champ being banned and threatening to troll that just means they are just bad players overall lul.

I have a story related to this, yesterday played a duo flex game i got mid duo got top, we were with a 3man premade clan tag "sry b5" w/ names like "feedingtob5" etc (all 3 had b5 related names), and instead of having a jg thley did 3man botlane. We actually ended up winning but i wonder is something like that reportable or even report worthy?

Ranked requires you to work around the shortcomings and bad decisions of your allies regardless of how terrible they might seem at the time. If you cannot win with terrible team mates then you cannot expect yourself to win against skilled opponents.

I personally do not judge players over what they choose to play or how they choose to play them. It's a waste of mental focus and energy I am better off investing in myself, my own actions, reactions, and decisions.

Banning someone's champion when they've declared it is a pretty toxic move. Who are we to judge what people want to play? I know where you're coming from, and its frustrating, but for every story I have about Janna jungle screwing me over, I also have a story about some other off-meta pick hard carrying my ass.

You don't know how well someone is going to play until they play. You claim you don't like seeing off-meta picks, but how many meta picks have lost a game for you? How many top lane Darius's have fed their asses off and single handedly lost you a game?

Bottom line is, you shouldn't be so worried about what other people are doing. Just play your best and be a good team mate. That's all you have the power to do. If you're meant to be higher elo, you will climb. If you don't climb, you're probably right where you're supposed to be.

I would say its situational and I'm a pretty outspoken screw the meta player. If your going off meta to intentionally screw your teammates ability to win, Because your goal is be intentionally unviable so they get handicapped, then your trolling. If your playing it with the intent to do well its ok, and if what you enjoy most in lol is building your own playstyle and developing that to the point your able to see consistent success with it, I highly encourage it. I spent a lot of games on team builder when it was an option, I used to frequently play with large groups of hommies for goofy comps and still do when I have them online. Obeying the meta is a lot like some one following a game walkthrough, this works if you do X, Y, Z. The game for me become boring, all that matters in that style of playing is how well you emulate what works well and your success is tied to accurately mimicking that playstyle.

No, but I think sometimes Riot treats it like that

There's a difference between picking something off meta and something useless that's borderline trolling.

So no, playing something off meta isn't trolling, it helps if you play along with your team and don't feed, too.

So they have said if you play off roll champs, you need to make sure the team is behind you on it, else you hurt the team and thats trolling.

If dont feed and the team does not feed because of your off pick then Riot thinks thats good.

Now banning champs team mates have picked in champ select is not bannable BUT you are now more then 50% chance of losing the match no matter what because of tilt. Some people do it to try and make someone dodge so they dont have to (I stay in those matches and report ANYTHING that player does because they are hurting the game)

I wish Riot would be harder on those that skirt the rules or abuse them. This game is so toxic but it does not have to be.
