I know people are going to try to auto lock her in ranked and most people wont know how to play her yet. So i want to know if I ban Zoe if my teammates pick her if I can get banned for that. People tell me its trolling if you ban someone champ and you can get ban but I want sure if thats true and I dont want to risk someone going first time Zoe and making me lose mmr.
You are allowed to ban any champions you want. It's considered somewhat poor form to ban a champion an ally is hovering if it's not a hotly contested pick you don't want your enemy to have, but it's not bannable unless you make it CLEAR that you're doing so with trolling as your intention.
No, you can't get banned. This is the only answer. Bans > picks. It doesn't even matter if your teammate can first pick her.

Ok thanks because I know as soon as she is playable people are going to try to use her in ranked it always happens and either they get fed or they feed. Im not a risk taker lol.
If a champion is too strong at the time I ban it. If my current hot ban is wanted by a teammate I will let them have it ONLY if they are first pick otherwise I ban it, I don't care if I get reported for it, we are allowed to ban whoever the fuck we want and if people have a problem with it they can suck it up.

In my opinion if you dont even have a basic understanding of a champion, you shouldnt be playing them period. This is why we have vs AI, and Customs. Actually learn the champion before playing them in a pvp setting. If not I would consider that intentionally losing the game because you dont have a clue how the champion works and is only playing them because they are new. Whereas you have people who have knowledge, have tested them out, but they cant get better because you NEED to play this new champion. Then once she is nerfed, and no longer "new" youll stop playing her. Its annoying!
I love topics like this one - it's a case of prejudging, and tarring everyone with the same brush. If you have no faith in your teammates' skill, you've already partially lost, as if they will suck with a (new) champion in your mind, your mindset is probably thinking they'd be just as bad with another, either way, they're judged before you even get into the game. Before you check by the way, since you seem like that type of person (see, I am pre-judging you too), I do not do ranked, because of people's toxic and negative attitudes affecting the limited time I have to play. This is just one example of the behaviour I avoid by playing normal draft.
i report all people that ban a champion someone on my team hovers and wants to play..... yes you have the right to ban whoever you want but at the same time they have the right to play whoever they... i cant count the number of times i have had teemo banned by someone on my team simply bc "they dont like teemo, teemo isnt a support, teemo cant jungle/mid" or had lulu banned bc i wanted to take her adc botlane. doesnt matter if they know the champion or not at the end of the day this is a game and is meant to be for fun and if you are banning someone elses champ simply because they are new and you dont have faith they know what they are doing with it you are ruining the fun of the game for that person. and by banning the champion someone wants to play you are basically telling your team that you dont care about the team you are only in the game for yourself.

By the down votes I guess im the only one that has gone into ranked the any of a patch and people auto lock the new champ and feed. You must all be lucky I know my luck is bad but some of you had to have a feeding 
when he came out. I was one but I played him in blind pick till I was good at him.
Its trolling if you play a champ without knowing how to use the champ in ranked. Usually people will only autolock her in norms not ranked.
I always ban brand new champs for the first couple weeks. Riot makes them op out of the gate. (Strong champ, more people buy/play = skin sold) So ban away. People will cry but at least you have a better chance of winning the match.
Unless your side has first pick and someone is FIRST PICKING HER, I would still probably ban her because usually with my luck on ranked that our Zoes are bad and their zoes are good. She'll probably get banned by you or the enemy team cause no one wants to "chance" having a "feeder" or the other team having a "god like zoe". The strat it seems nowadays is to play her on the PBE and then take her into ranked where most people have or haven't played PBE thus being having a "slight advantage" cause they know the mechanics and you don't.
