A Genuine No Thanks.... I have a quarter million blue crystals but I am not wasting it on that or a little less on a purple crystal & icon.

Nobody is forcing you to spend the blue essence. It's just an easy way to get rid of blue essence / a realistic way for people to reacquire the skin who missed it. You could buy gemstones, icons, wards, etc. if you're not interested in URFwick.
