Odyssey Orbs or Masterwork Chests More Efficient

Hey, so, obviously this new event is giving free tokens and such once again. Unlike past events, that actually gave you skin shards as high tier rewards, this event only gives icons and borders, that you can't use (kinda) unless you purchase the skins. You know I am not gonna fk with that. Ive already spent a few hundred dollars on this game, and I'm not happy with the meta or where the game's going, so no more money.

My plan is to spend all my tokens on Odyssey Orbs or Masterwork chests. We can earn a max of 100 tokens, meaning 2 orbs (50/ea) or 2 chests (40/ea, 20 leftover). My question is, what's more "efficient", if you will.

-Orbs contain one skin shard, may contain an odyssey gem, a regular gemstone, and/or a gemstone skin. -Masterwork chests may contain one of the following: orange essence, a skin shard, a ward skin shard, or an emote; additionally, may contain a bonus masterwork chest and key, a gemstone, or "loot exclusive".

It's worth noting that I don't care about ward skins and hardly care about emotes (with like 5 exceptions). My main focus is skin shards I can craft or reroll, and the gemstone/chest bonuses. What are people's experience in opening these?

Odyssey Orbs have a 1.5x multiplier on Hextech bonuses (so Hextech skins and Gemstones). I'd say the Odyssey Orbs are a better buy, especially if you don't have spare keys to open the Masterwork Chests.

I also wasn't sure how to spend my 100 tokens but i bought 2 Orbs; fortunately i've got Odyssey Gem :D !!! Holly Molly 1/10 chance... Bought Revel Bag.
