been playing support exclusively since season 5 specifically tank supports, almost every time riot tried to change something with supports they made it harder for me to play, and now this ...

tank supports no longer have sustain and much much more susceptible to poke
ancient coin removed and with that passive play is out of the window , so if you are playing soraka, playing against hard counter, or simply getting stomped in bot you cant play passively because right now the current support items encourage aggressive/risky play.
between shared xp nerfs and dragon rework i assure you bot lane is going to be a prime target for camping

honestly why do i even bother ? am just gonna pick up my things and go top lane .

Tank supports now were relatively unaffected by the changes. Mages and enchanters have far less poke with mana regen and damage on hit/spell being removed.

I don't understand this. The targon's passive isn't removed and all mage supports have less resources to work with. If anything bot lane is far less aggressive unless you're an engage support ala Leona.

Dude, you can now build a 2900~ish gold tank item straight up lol. Then you can go into utility or whatever, I fail to see how it's any worse now.

Hook/engage supports have been strong for a while now. Their sustain was nerfed. Braum, Alistar etc who've been worse off can be compensated, but in general early support strength was nerfed, which is a good thing.

You now have the option to go relic shield on passive supports without risking yourself for gold. "What am I supposed to do with ap/ad on leona??", it's to make exactly this viable. Mage supports were a horrible addition and have been nerfed, rightfully so.

If you can't adapt to item changes, please do and play the new op item SB. Everyone seems to understand that one at least.
