How Do Support Mains Stay Sane?

Like, I played like 4 Support games today, Holy Shit it makes me hate the game even more.

I had 1 good game with a Sivir. I've had a feeder. A feeder. A feeder.

The enemy always fucking steamrolls if they have Jhin or Kai'sa.

This is bot lane: Jhin, Kai'sa, Jhin, Kai'sa, Jhin, Kai'sa, Jhin, Kai'sa, Jhin, Kai'sa, Jhin, Kai'sa, Jhin, Kai'sa, Jhin, Kai'sa, Jhin and Kai'sa. Supports have more diversity.

Like I can't even play bot lane, it's way too active.

This is a normal game: FIrst blood An ally has been slain An ally has been slain An ally has been slain An ally has been slain An ally has been slain An enemy has been Shut down An ally has been slain An ally has been slain An ally has been slain An ally has been slain An ally has been slain RAMPAGE LEGENDARY An ally has been slain Enemy Doublekill Enemy Triplekill Enemy Quadrakill Enemy Pentakill

Surrender Vote has failed, 4/1

I'm going to go play Heros of the Storm, an actually balanced game that has no metas.

How to stay sane as a support main? Step 1) take every kill. Step 2) build damage. Step 3) carry your team to the enemy nexus

To answer your question it’s simple, you make the enemy lose their sanity.

Ok but to honestly answer the question, It’s my favorite role because you don’t have to worry about farming to stay ahead. There are also different types of champs to play in the role like healer/shielder, tank engage, tank peel, support carry. I feel as support you have a much larger pool of champions you can play and do good unlike the other roles at the moment like jg which is only early duelists, mid with only assassins, top with only op tanks or fighters. Plus you can piss off the enemy by either poking them to death, cc them to death, or deny the satisfying feel of making a good play by choosing a peel support like soraka.

Oh look the same guy who QQ'd about MF now complaining about bot lane in general. Stop complaining about your role/champs. You're playing normals where most ppl aren't even trying that hard. Play some ranked for one. And if you want to be able to carry harder either help coach your adc or play a different role. Stop coming here for sympathy, you won't find any

Bro I'm gonna give you a real answer. Not a troll one.... The trick is to ward ward ward... once you get your first support item that gives you wards. grab a sweeper before leave. Dont ever forget. place deep wards so you know where jungle is at at all times. If enemy JG is blue side place wards next to wolfs and blue buff, in a high traffic area. look at map , if u dont see him hes most liekly top side then go ham. If hes bot then back off. remeber you are in control not the adc. you set up plays not him. he needs you more then you need him. and roam your ass off and help mid. if ur adc keeps feeding just support mid. thats how you stay sane. and pick easy supports. brand, annie, soraka, blitz, nothing crazy man. and you will be fine and win 60 to 70% of your games as support. other then that study the game and champs and know every champs tower spikes. thats really it*[slayer-jinx-wink]*

The same way everyone else stays sane: By not giving a fuck.

Seriously, just let it go that things wen't badly. Stressing about what already happened cannot change it. Focus on future plays or on practicing useful skills for future games. A game that cannot be won is not a complete waste of time, because it can still be used to learn valuable things and to improve at the game.

If you play 1000 games, on average you will have more good games than bad, because there are 5 spots which can contain bad players on the enemy team, and only 4 on your team, assuming you don't tilt.

You play a support that can 1v2 the lane. That is how you stay sane.

bro i was never sane, just look at me fucking play I'm a madman

You either quit Ranked early or you go insane

I feel the same every time I play either support or ADC. Having a useless lane partner is far worse than having a bad jungler or a bad player in some other lane. Because suddenly it's a 1v3 and you're not even getting solo exp

You find yourself an ad carry with the same mindset. AD carries hate having supports that don't mesh with their playstyle as much as supports do. For example I hate having luggage type champs like janna or soraka on my team. Give me a thresh or give me a leona. This is because my support duo partner has molded me by playing almost only blitzcrank. Now we have amazing communication-less synergy and can win most lanes unless intervened by a jungler.

Laning with randos is a crapshoot

if you're going to complain about adc doing bad that's fine but if you are using greedy supports that have little to no peel don't be expecting them to live if a dive or something happens

As a support, your goal should always be to supply the most utility for your team with the least need for resources.

As a support, you are stuck in the bottom lane with another champion, meaning you get half (it's actually more than half) as much experience as Top or Mid, and you get basically zero gold from minions unless you have Relic Shield > Targons, ... or if you are "stealing minions."

Currently, my favorite support is Bard. He is good at poking, he has cc, he has a heal, and he has great roam potential. By taking a support item like Spell Thiefs or Ancient Coin, and Klepto, you can harass the enemy out of lane, accumulating gold, help your ADC shove the lane in, then roam to collect your chimes. Chimes restore mana and give you extra exp, and they increase the effectiveness of his passive. Increased slow and free damage. Also, your roam potential allows you to quickly pop into other lanes to help your team, to cover for a laner who has died or had to back, or to split push. You eventually become a cheaper off carry, which is great for situations where your ADC did not end up getting fed because then you aren't just a similarly underfed heal/shield-bot.

Last Thresh I had blamed me for a major mistake on his part that caused me to die. Blame shifting is probably one of the major coping mechanisms.

He suddenly runs off to pursue Rek'Sai when I'm about half and Vayne is full. Vayne immediately starts to run me down and he tells me "look at the map next time". Dude, if you suddenly run off when we're already at a disadvantage with Vayne running right past you to go kill me it is YOUR fault when I can't get to safety. BTW, my death was shortly followed up by his because he was now alone under turret 2v1 and from there they took a very early tower for free.

You don't get to blame me because you gave the enemy a major opening. My death isn't necessarily my fault and you need to own up to what you did wrong.
