The lore doesn't explain what she looked like before falling into the void and getting the void suit thing
I think the void changed her hair color. Probably less expensive to go to the store for hair color than to get stuck in a void cave and merge with a symbiote and live there for a decade
I'm just trying to figure out where she found all the product to make it look nice. The Void must have some killer salons.
KDA Kai'Sa dyed her hair.
Classic Kai'Sa has black hair that's still a reasonably natural color.
Base Kai'Sa's hair is more black then K/DA (her's it can be assumed that either people naturally have purple hair or she just dyed it). It isn't completely black though, so I wouldn't be surprised if there was some kind of change that happened to it from the pre-void caves.
Also was she always mad thicc or did the void help with that too ;-)~
For starters, the void isn't really a cave and wouldn't effect her hair color. For the void to change her hair color, hair color is based almost entirely off of melanin which means for her hair to change color it would equally change her skin's color, which makes sense since it isn't just her hair being exposed to the void.

With the KDA skin, she isn't actively in the void at the time, so it fair to see she just dyed it, which also explains why her hair looks nice. It's fairly easy to notice that they are in-fact not performing in the void, so why would she need to wash her hair in the void????
Just look at her father's natural hair color.
