Needing Help from ADC mains

While I'm starting to climb I'm noticing difficulty in this season compared to last season. It just seems like the competition I'm playing against is a lot better than I am. Team fighting isn't the problem, in fact I wish it was always just team fighting. The problem I'm having is in early laning phase when it feels like the enemy adc is able to be aggressive without me being able to respond. When I try to make a similar aggressive move I end up losing the trade pretty heavily.

An example of my issue is like with a champion like tristana. If i'm playing against a tristana they seem to bully me in lane. If I play tristana I seem to be bullied in lane. How do I fix this problem?
