How do I unbind Command-Q (Mac)?

I tried binding my "level up spell" keys to Command-Q, W, E, and R, respectively, but obviously I ran into a problem. The game doesn't allow you to bind Command-Q to anything.

The really weird thing is, I already unbound Command-Q on my computer. Now, when I press Command-Q, instead of closing the app I'm in it simply inverts the colors (this is the best I could do). However, even after that, if I'm in a game and press Command-Q, it instantly closes out of the game. Could I get some help with this? Or maybe a Rioter sees this and decides to make a difference?

Hi Tattersall,

Don't worry! You're not the only Mac-User with this Problem... There are actually some guides about this problem with MacOS (not just for League of Legends but with many different programs because command + Q is the global setting for MacOS to close the current program).

Here is a quick guide to change this setting:

  1. Open your System Preferences
  2. In the hardware section, click Keyboard
  3. Click Application Shortcuts
  4. Click the + button to add a new custom shortcut
  5. Leave the Application setting as All Applications
  6. In the Menu Title field, enter Quit League Of Legends (Make sure the spelling of the command is correct (upper- and lowercase letter matters!)!)
  7. In the Keyboard Shortcut field, enter whatever you would like to use as your new shortcut to quit League of Legends, which will override command + Q (I'd recommend you to use control + shift + command + Q)
  8. Click Add to save your setting

Make sure to restart your client or even your computer and I hope this is going to solve your problem!
