How do you get into league? I've lost all passion for the game; But I'd like to regain it.

Hey guys.

I've lost all interest in League; but i recognize that it is the best Moba in the world and I don't really want to be done with it.

I've quit because the 2 champions I liked; Taric & Akali were reworked into forms that I no longer enjoy & and I also really liked the old rune system.

Honestly. I don't really like skillshot champions even if they aren't very punished for mistakes; I don't like the unreliable feeling. I used to be a longtime World of Warcraft player; maybe that is why.

Should I Play Dota instead? I hear that Dota mechanics are more straight forward.

What champions are you guys enjoying now days?

My experience has been that DotA has more to keep track of, and I actually find it to be more technically demanding than LoL. Nearly all of the items have actives in DotA. HotS was more fun for me, coming from League. I don't think League is necessarily the best MOBA, if I'm being honest. It does have the widest appeal, and that's because it's most like an action RPG imo. DotA feels more like an RTS to me. HotS is somewhat between the two?

Anyway, I loved the Taric rework. I'm still having trouble getting back into Swain, but I do think he's healthier now. Was playing a lot of Alistar, but I'm also waiting a bit for the meta to shake up again. I probably won't play as much until preseason.

I'm gonna be frank, it's unlikely you'll find that passion reignited.

As someone who has had similar passions for other games, and still maintains some for League, I can verify that it's probably best to find another game. I would not suggest DOTA as there is a lot less you can do in response to combos. Hyper Universe is a 2D MOBA that might be to your liking or you might find something in another MMO like DC Universe Online.
