These last 2 weeks in an attempt to get gold I'm going to do the following:

OtakuBurrito·11/8/2019, 7:46:52 PM·4 votes·6,701 views

-Only play between 100-500 hours

-/mute all my team every single game

-only play champions who can carry a 4v5 because my games have been LOUSY with those in the past 3 days

-don't play support even though it's my most comfortable role

-ignore my team being stupid and just split push because it got me to silver 2 so far so i guess it works

-ignore losing lanes and work on feeding winning ones

-ban yi

If anyone has any other advice for SILVER ELO ONLY please let me know.

EDIT: Well I've dropped from Silver 2 to Silver 4 and at this rate I'm going to be in Bronze 4 by tomorrow. Some of us just aren't cut out for ranked at all. It was stupid of me to even think I could make it to gold. After 6 years on this game and the fact I'm still silver should be the only notice I need I'm garbage at this game. Iron 4 here I come...

EDIT 2: So I played with ChickenWrap (thanks again) and my biggest issue seems to be wave manipulating that leads to lack of lane prescence. Also my former friend was trolling tf out me with his advice. You don't build Liandry's on Varus or essensce reaver :x. And it's okay to push lane/poke your opponent as long as you're winning. And the Jungler can gank through lane. You know I'm starting to think some of y'all high elo players troll low elos like me for LULs like that asshole did. Also I fixed my runes and I'm practicing a combo now. ;-; I'm not dogshit tier but even me starting off strong or with a good KDA gets blown because I just don't have a prescence despite being fed :(

this thread blew up...but...i just can't do it anymore...im just not good at league...i thought i was but im not.

??? Wait, what? You posted this thread 3 hours ago. And you literally gave up 2 hours and 40 minutes later?! Alright, let me take a look at your games.

Silver 4. 4 defeats in a row. That could be tilting.

Hecarim game.

Looks like the Xayah went AFK/dc'd. You had the most damage taken. BUT. You had less damage done than your support and less gold earned. Now, if you're playing Hecarim jungle. Try to play him as a carry jungle unless you are absolutely certain that your team will be able to do the carry role. You also should not be dying so much as him. Try racking up early kills and advantages as Hecarim to snowball games. Now, your Xayah went AFK/dc'd. If it was a prolonged 4v5, I'd just surrender and move on to the next game. Yes, its possible to win 4v5's. But we're looking for efficiency here. To make the most out of the time and energy you got. Even if the game is close, you'd be wasting much more effort into winning it. 4v5's are an uphill battle unless more than one of the players in the 5 man roster is a potato.

Varus game.

I don't know if your top lane was your duo. You have two games played with him. Bad games happen. But that Rumble went 11/1/5. I am not gonna say, do NOT duo Q with someone who feeds. What I would suggest is, if you're going to duo Q and you are able to jungle. Please go in as a jungle so that you can help him. Its much more hard to help him as a Varus ADC as opposed to any jungle champ. If you weren't a duo Q, ignore this. Otherwise, you did decent damage there, good job. Ryze broke the charts but that's Ryze.

Varus game.

Vayne got out of control. Its tough when you get a first time Nidalee jungle. All you could do there would be to try and end the game earlier before the Vayne scales. Otherwise, good job! You could definitely have carried that with the right teammates.

Varus game.

By the time we got here, looks like you got tilted. I'm tilted too! Because most of these games aren't your fault. [sg-jinx]

Your damage was less compared to the Xayah's. And, even Annie's. You can't get tilted even if you are feeling down. Don't play games if you're not feeling it. Essentially, you lose vs. Xayah and Karma early. Esp. with that Karma poke. You just need to farm it out with Annie and try to win teamfights later. Same number of items but less damage. Annie did die a lot but if its Annie, she is going to die trying to burst out her damage. 15/8 Warwick. Oof!

Alright, in conclusion. Don't get tilted by your games. You were doing fine in these. You just need to grind it out, that's all. Your Nami and esp. Lux stats are pretty good. You can try to duo Q with an ADC and see how far you can go. If that doesn't work, play jungle so you can have a greater impact. Most of these games have you doing really great. I think that you win your bot lane even in a losing matchup, almost 50 cs lead in the last Varus vs. Xayah game. But you are not able to have an impact as an ADC. Not to win. Play jungle. Focus on that role and don't get tilted. Take 10 minute breaks between games!

I hope this helps. I didn't watch your games and most of my analysis is based on graphs/charts there. Honestly, if someone here has an alt. account and at a higher level. Playing with them would help you the most. Good luck, my friend! I hope that you're able to achieve your gold. [vlad-salute]

It's probably best to take a break and clear your mind because it sounds like you're tilting hard.

The best advice? Stop caring and remember what League should be -- a fun game. Play each game at face value and do not look at LP gains or your rank. Don't listen to others when they flame you about being bad. Focus on improving and focus on one game at a time. And remember that making Gold in League or not does not mean anything for who you are as a person, no matter what others may try to tell you.

I had it as my goal to get Gold back in S6. I had played only about 15-20 Ranked matches the year before and didn't skip a division when I was by all right supposed to (getting +33 LP per win) so I gave up quick, but returned in S6 with new determination. I played with friends, watched videos, attempted to master my skills as a carry support, and after a while, I made Gold 5. The feeling was great, but dissipated quickly. I came to realize that Gold players weren't that great either and all the toxicity, flaming, and trolls I was powering through left me more drained and frustrated than having fun in an awesome game. It was at that point that I realized that Ranked isn't all it's cracked up to be and that you should always play the game in the modes and roles that are fun for you (no trolling though). I haven't touched Ranked since and I have no regrets.

My ultimate advice for you is this; step back and look at your League experience. Has everything you've been doing been worth it? Is it still fun? Are you enjoying yourself? If the answer is "no", then it's time for a break. Switch to norms, ARAM, outright quit for a month or two and you'll soon find how much better you are feeling about the game.

And there is no shame in being a lower elo. We all have different talents and different game types we do well at and maybe League isn't yours. That's not a bad thing at all. My favourite games are RPGs, not MOBAs. My hubby plays only bots in League, but he is amazing at stuff like Pokemon and loves it to death. Play what's fun for you and bring the enjoyment back to gaming.

If you want I can give you tips. I climbed from silver 3 to diamond soley as a support main.
