I usually build him: Athene's, Sorc shoes, Liandry's, Rylai's, Rabadon's, Void Staff. I don't have much success with it though. I've been seeing people build him with: Zhonyas, Rabadons, Morelonomicon/Athene's (ad/ap), Sorc Shoes, Liandry's, Void Staff How should I build him?

Worgslarg1 votesMalzahar has such great ap ratios that liandrys seems like a waste of an item slot compared to zhonyas.
I prefer tear to athenes as it grants 60 or more AP than athenes by the time you reach lategame
DFG is certainly a good item on him, it outranges his ult, but I cannot for the life of me manage to use dfg in fights, so I avoid it.
Sirbigam1 votesDon't ever buy athens, always buy morellonomicon instead always, always buy liandry these two combined with void staff, and its over, always get penetration shoes, have 7 pen in your rune page, and your still raping and have good ratios towards end game...
