Matchmaking Rework

TL;DR VERSION:

CURRENT MATCHMAKING=STRICTLY BASED ON W/L

UPDATED MATCHMAKING (concept) = INCORPORATE ADVANCED DETAILS+HONOR SYSTEM+W/L

Now before people get all crazy and just want to shoot down the concept I'd like to propose an idea to make Matchmaking a bit more...balanced?

Everyone, and I mean everyone has had to deal with bad teams, it's an inevitable part of the game. That being said I have been paying attention to the grading system and the advanced stat details at the end of matches. The one thing that's consistent is that in general teams with more focus on objectives, survival, and keep toxicity low/nonexistent win more. That's obvious for sure, but why not use these stats for matchmaking? We have the data, we have an honor system, why not group like minded people of similar skill together? This will increase the competition level, make the game more fun, and help reduce the overall toxicity of the League community.

It's a very loose and unrefined idea atm, but I believe that implementing those stats will help a ton. Also it makes them useful, because as of right now the only purpose these stats have is to show how good/bad you did. Let's make use of this data like they do in other sports. Again it's a loose idea and could use refinement, but I don't really see how it can hurt to make use of the data. :)

Open to ideas/suggestions :)

I agree with this. Perhaps the amount of points you lose/earn is based on the letter grade you obtain. Glad you got a chance to look at my thread :)

So if they win more, they are playing with people winning more. And who are these people winning more ? The ones you described.

Your idea is basically already live ;)
