Raw Stats: What it Takes Bronze 5 to Silver

This is for all the people, like me, who are/were Bronze 5 or similar low elo THAT BELONG THERE. I belonged in Bronze 5 last season. I had no idea what I was doing, what won games, how to close games out, how to CS, when to all in, when to group, when to take neutral jg objectives, etc, etc, etc, nothing. In fact I'm still learning it all. If you're in Bronze 5 you don't as well. There is NOWHERE else to go but up. Losing a game in Bronze 5 means literally NOTHING as you can not fall further. If you find yourself in Bronze 5 and want to prove you're better I'd challenge you to shelve your ego and keep playing ranked. You're probably learning bad habits in normals when you need to learn from your mistakes in an environment where people are trying harder to win.

Here is the raw data as to what it could take to climb from Bronze 5 to Silver 5 if your elo is so low you belong there and aren't skipping divisions with win streaks. This is so you don't flip out over winning 5 in a row then losing 1 and suddenly only having gone up 20-30 LP over all 6 games. Think of it as a chance to improve your skills.

246 games overall, 57% win ratio, 140 wins to 106 losses. Went "fill" every que with very very few dynamic que games in there. Of which I think my dynamic que record is significantly worse than my solo que record anyways.

You have to win a SH*TLOAD to make silver if you belong in low bronze. It could literally take a year. Maybe longer if nobody is helping you notice your own mistakes. In order to climb you have to win 4v5's, win with ragers, win with literal intentional feeders that are telling the enemy team where everyone is on the minimap, win with people that are completely wasted, you just have to win. If you don't win, think of what YOU could have done (remove the feeder from your memory) to improve the situation and always remember that the only person you can directly control is yourself.

I had no idea it would take that many F'ing wins to climb when I finally started winning more than I lost. I was mentally unprepared for how much bullshit dropping a division is when your overall win rate is in the 60% range. People would talk about skipping divisions but I'd win 10 in a row and just go up B4 to B3 and be like "wtf??" then lose 2 in a row to afks and drop again.

Too many people come on the boards waving huge Epeens around talking shit about how easy it is to climb and probably disheartening people just starting ranked out. Giving a false sense that if you got unlucky in placements its easy as all hell to climb out of bronze if you're a "good player." Well I found a lot of "good players" in bronze. 45W5L Zeds as a matter of fact. Katarina was 24W-0L before I beat her. Some teams are literally ALL smurfs.

If you're starting at the bottom (but belong there) and want the shiny new border don't get disheartened by assholes telling you its super easy when you fail at first. It's actually a pretty massive skill gap over 100s sometimes 1000s of games between divisions. Good luck.

I've gotten 3 accts out of bronze this season. It is easy. It has to be, because I am bad at this game and I've done it 3 times already.

Cool you actually want to learn. You will climb faster if you practice in norms with like 3 champs assassin, tank, bruiser for any team comp and focus on 1 to 2 positions i suggest mud and jung. If you are in b4 and 5 you either really failed placements by trying to play meta champs you arent good with, really unlucky, or you just belong there. I can say that b2 at the moment is easy and when i get time i could climb out in a solid week of play probs like 20 games. I stomp on them and i notice a lot of their mistakes. If u win with a group friend and invite them. But if you are like me you will soon see that some are better and some are worse then you. Stick with the good ones leave the bad and help each other climb to where you belong. You can carry afks ive already done it. Dont make excuses just do it. Good luck
