Thank God no Sandbox Mode

I know that tryhards everywhere are screaming and whining that they cant just put up 1,000s of hours of practice risk free in a time capsule in order to beat people but put yourself in the shoes of someone who has NEVER played a MOBA before this game. Someone who could theoretically be a mom blowing off steam with her kids or just a student that likes to play in their spare time. They fire the game up and start learning, get really into it, get competitive after a few months, hop into ranked; GET STOMPED FOREVER. That's basically the way it is now without a practice time capsule. BUT THE TRYHARDS WANT TO LITERALLY MAKE IT EVEN WORSE??

So normal people would be completely irrelevant in this game for eternity unless they ALSO, on top of playing hundreds of games to learn MOBA game theory, put in tons and tons and tons and tons and tons of hours in a damn capsule perfecting mechanics. Nobody in there right mind would ever want to play this game for fun ever again.

Some kid who is encouraged to get straight A's by society, who may even be on a sports team is suddenly prohibited from being remotely relevant in this game the second "grind for xtra skill!" comes out. There is no way he can keep up unless he just quits life. Most rational people would then be like "fuck it, this game isn't fun, the average player is too freakishly good." Honestly, its almost that way now. My friends who started playing this game months ago, who never really played computer games before, are all bronze 5 but at least have fun when they play. They're impressed with me for getting silver 5 after like a gazillion games and can see themselves eventually getting there too. They like to play a few times a month and still have fun because they can see little improvements all the time. Guess what? There is no way they're ever getting out of bronze 5. Realistically unless they start spamming games like hell because everyone is just too damn good. I'm never breaking that news to them but there is really no hope for a CASUAL player now to 'get gud' unless they're a gaming prodigy. That's literally the reality now without some bullshit mechanics boosting machine mode. Thank god there is at least hope of gradual improvement that keeps them playing and having fun which in turn keeps me playing and having fun because my friends still play.

Imagine how completely fucked these nice people would be if sandbox mode were a requirement to even be relevant (they are 30+ yrs old and routinely dump 20 bucks or so a month in this game not batting an eye). They'd never play anymore. It'd be BS. This game's community is already elitist to hell and unforgiving to normal people. Yet somehow, luckily for us and riot, normal casual people still play and spend money on this game. !!!WHICH IS ULTIMATELY FOR THE BEST FOR EVERYONE!!!

I for one hope that the tryhards whining like babies don't get there way and that this game can still be enjoyed by normal people with normal lives into perpetuity. LoL is arguably the most fun game of modern times and the only way it'll get better is to be more accessible and welcoming to the general public. Elitist nuts need to stop trying to destroy this game and need to acknowledge that the more popular and fun this game is to the crowd that plays 1 time a week the more successful and fun the game will wind up being for everyone.

Keep this game fun. Focus on the fun.

It doesn't matter to low skill players if sandbox mode is on or not. If they're bad then they are placed where others of their same skill level are. If they want to get of Bronze then they need to stop trolling games.

You can still have fun trying to learn and get better at the game.

It's more satisfying, positive experience, to outplay opponents than just troll Kassadin support every game just because it's funny or fun to watch people rage. Or do AD Soraka mid. Or any other sub-sub-optimal strategies you can pull out of your arse.

Some people are always going to be tryhards and there is nothing you can do to stop that. Besides, if they want to grind on a game, why should you stop them?

What does it matter if you end up in bronze as a casual? You just need to have fun. If the matches are too hard for you, your MMR will drop until you meet people like you.

we're not talking sub optimal strategies. We're talking just literally not being really really mechanically proficient. As in bad. Some people are just bad. The huge vast majority of players are bronze and silver. By a large margin. Adding a feature like this would make the bad players "worse" and the good players better. Basically, the gap will always exist because bad players are bad and good players are good. But it would widen that gap to be basically impossible with the exponential skill growth a training mode like this would enable. That's all I'm saying.

Plus adding something like this would be addictive as all hell to play for a certain demographic. It'd be obscene and alienating to the general public.

What if I want to do nothing but flash madly around the map for 10 minutes with my 0 CD summoner spells and then one-shot the dragon with my 999999999 gold build?

It's not necessarily about practice.
