Trying Cass APC
I'm a newbie Bronze I - Silver V so take my thoughts with a grain of salt.
Used to play Cass support all the time, since she got reworked thats completely not viable. I tried her mid and support post rework and just got WORKED. I couldn't take it anymore and forced her Bot lane APC with a support. I've only put about 5 games in as this role but shes playing like a monster so far for me. The loss of damage on Q and W stinks but I've adjusted myself to only cast these spells for passive stacks and utility, since I've made that adjustment its been smooth sailing. E is crazy sustain, just great, I get life AND mana back its perfect for farming.
I farm for both gold and passive stacks early game and usually dont get bullied and slapped around TOO much... basically if the support can carry me til level 3 or 4 I can buy some items and hit my 75/200 passives. At this point Cass's utility and light CC, combined with a support's CC makes picking up some kills relatively easy until the opponents hide under tower. Jungle ganks get Q'd - W'd and fled from relatively easily especially if we're well warded.
I haven't been missing the extra levels of solo laning because after E is maxed who the heck cares about stacks on the other skills?
Basically a couple of important "hacks" for running this Cass that are slightly different from a normal build:
- Start with a Sapphire Crystal, potions, warding totem. Build Tear into seraph's ASAP
- Incorporate Lich Bane into your items its completely ridiculous I feel like a fool for not playing it before
- Go Q first skill, E next, W lvl 3, then from then on its E or R
- I now max W all the way second instead of Q and its working great for me, the extra slow really helps my allies
- Use R liberally in your duo lane the second you get it, its stupid powerful with a support and basically guaranteed kill, plenty of bushes bot lane to set it up too.
Shoot for 400 stacks in 30 min, its possible :)
). Dorans should give enough mana sustain for the first few levels( given the 3 mana regen points in utility, and judiciously using twin fang's mana restore).
