Riot,you're taking a dangerous path

In fact, you're doing exactly what blozzord ( I hate them for because they killed warcraft since mist of pandaria to warlords of draenor (which is a joke),and will surely keep doing it in legion) so they don't deserve the right vowels) did with the talent tree. It doesn't give uniqueness. It's clunky. We went from masteries that can be adapted for each champions (about the way to play it,i'm thinking about hybrid builds). We had the choice to go full agressive or tanky. You won't need more than 5 pages to cover all the champions.

The masteries aren't bad but the way we take the points isn't good. Still, I appreciate the talents you put in the end of each tree. It's a good idea. Have fun Khâmul

I feel that this actually IS more adaptive than the old masteries. The old masteries were take X masteries on X champion for maximum damage output/tankiness/supportability. Done. At least this offers somewhat more diversity in those terms..

they can be adapted per champion, you just have to learn them....(World largest and heaviest sigh) x ( π)

World of WarCraft Expansions did not kill the WarCraft series.

World of WarCraft killed World of WarCraft - the RTS (it's roots) still lives on, though.

I found a private server in wrath of the lich king, there's 8k players and they disabled the dungeon research so you can explore the world.there's a lot of pvp in every map. it's magic! I recently played in official (in july). It was sad. reaaaaaally sad. people didn't have to move out from the capital to gain xp.

I wasn't talking about World of WarCraft like it was a good thing. WoW was a bad game, it always has been. It just appealed to the grind-fest kids, and made Blizzard forget that WarCraft was/is better as an RTS.

I know, but i'm talking about world of warcraft as something good when it was related to the story i followed when i played warcraft II and warcraft III. I don't care about the type of game if the story is good. but they didn't follow their own logic. so in the end,it was a big fail

I happily agree with both sides. =)

I just don't like how much worse the points I'm spending in the 5 point nodes feel - before you would spend 2-3 points to get most of those bonuses before dropping points down for something else, and even then each point spent felt okayish; the current 5 point nodes are balanced entirely around spending 5 points in them, which makes them feel horrible.

Also, since you brought up WoW and talent trees...
Does anyone remember the Hunter pet specs? The names sound a bit familiar.

You know the what funny thing about this is? The pet talent tree gave us more variety than this mastery system.

You cant compare MOBA to MMORPG. Wow problem isnt talent trees. Pandaria was dull, too many dailies , scenarios fucked up dungeons, there wasnt clear reason why players were in pandaria till last patch when Garrosh started messing arround (burning crusade we fought against burning legion, wrath of the lich king we fought against Lich King and his scourge, while in pandaria we had pandas meditating arround). They also fucked up with PVP power and resilience. Talent system was basically only positive thing about MOP. As for Draenor, they fucked up with Garrisons.

i don't compare these two types of game. But the talent tree is more a MMORPG thing than a MOBA model (cf dota, where you don't have this). I won't say the old masteries were perfect and there are good masteries here. I'm talking only about a clunky system of point attribution.

This patch whas like a fist in the face...

You mean a Buckshot in the face? Or a Trynd/Yasuo crit that heals them and gives them AS?

Cataclysm was the biggest pile of dogshit they could have dumped on top of their masterpiece and shouldn't have. Pandaland and Borelords were just expansions of Cataclysm, a fitting name for the end of everything they ever did right with WoW.

Can't wait for it to finally die so they can focus on Warcraft 4.

Cata was WoW's death knell, not MoP. (MoP was underrated. Cata was a fucking disaster)

Keevalroy2 votes

MoP was underrated.

I'd disagree there because it just seemed like Blizzard had no plans for it and that it was rushed with no thought going toward the future. It just looked like them trying to cling onto what was left of their playerbase in desperation with stuff like the useless garbage that overburdened our bags when going through the zones.

"L-l-look at all of these toys guys! That's fun and cool right? R-r-right? Y-you want easier leveling? Done! You want...I...I don't know, more pets? Please don't leave! Come back! We'll change! You like dailies right? Here's a thousand of them. Oh they're boring? Shit, uhh - oh have some more - wait damn you didn't like that either!"

And then they gave up trying and we had a period of over a year and a half of no content whatsoever...mmkay, I see you're confused. But maybe if you hadn't turned your back on the community that built you up things would be different. But no, you're big and important now, and a lot of us didn't want to stick around for the unwritten apology that was never going to happen.

Back on the topic of League, I feel Riot has just released their Cataclysm, and should be extremely careful over the next few weeks. People are upset, and talking about your vision for what you want to create will end with nothing but anger and confusion.

We. Can. Compromise.

All you need to to is extend your hand, and although a lot of us would be hesitant to shake it after all that's happened even before the preseason patch was unleashed upon the undeserving innocents, it could happen.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greg_Street That is why league is following in WoW's footsteps. The same 'streamlining' of talents. The same 'say one thing do the complete opposite' balancing. Look how well it turned out for them...

the new item change. crit for day. [slayer-pantheon-thumbs] I LIKE IT.

Funniest thing I find now is having to choose between taking an almost non existent spell vamp and life steal buff or having 10 ap on Vayne. Hmm....

The new mastery trees are shit. You pretty much have no options and the keystone masteries are jokes for options. Cataclysm started with the pruning of talent trees and I agree, that was when WoW took a nosedive.
