Well, yeah, new players need SOMETHING that they can play with any level of proficiency. There's nothing wrong with having a simple champion, with mechanical simplicity comes predictability, it balances out in the end.

I mean Garen and Kata and Ryze have the faceslam thing in common. There's definitely depth and complexity to their gameplay in knowing when to go in and such, but once the fight starts they all basically push the buttons and wait for the other people to die.
