My Assumption on upcoming VGUs for season 7.

3 - 5 is the current estimation of ChampUps Riot has given so far.

We might see Warwick in mid - late January, Galio in late march, Urgot in late August, and Nunu around November or December. My Argument towards Nunu being on the list is due to a Rioter mentioning not wanting to do too many gritty champions in a row. On average if they are 100% on track or maybe a little bite ahead champion VGU take about 8 months.

We might begin the new season with Evelynn with her appearing sometime around February of season 8. Evelynn was listed quite high on the VGU list a while back, however having been confirmed for some work in the upcoming Assassin Update, and her okay-ish healthy state, it's reasonable to assume they will safely push off her VGU.

ChampUps/VGU are a lot more abundant at the beginning of the year as they are started the year prior, and the fall off as the year goes on. Considering we got Shen ,Taric ,Ryze and Yorick this year, 4 is a reasonable number.

I main eve and her kit is complex in a way. With her able to build almost any built (tank,ap,ad,shredder) I don't think she needs to be altered in any way except by updating her in game art to match her splash art.

...also a new skin would be nice...

I doubt we'll see any Model Updates or Skins till her VGU due to a lack of resources. I'm expecting some changes to her scalings in the upcoming update to shift her more towards Squishier builds.

The builds I have encountered are squishy but the few times I have seen tanker builds they have not ended well I can see a shift in her hate spikes scaling and agony's embrace but that's about it. If her dark frenzy was to be changed to a bit lower movement but scaled with AP (or ad, but that would be a bit weird) it would put more pressure into building more of a AP one shot while keeping her squishy.

The VGU updated I'm looking forward to, because the way I see it is that they would say reworked instead of VGU in their notes and I like Evelynn the way she is changes in her scaling I can deal with, another rework no thank you save it for alkali.

Tankier AD builds involving a Hydra and Deadmans aren't uncommon. Her ultimates damage scales with AP but the provided shield doesnt scale, this allows for AD builds focusing on sustained damage and innate tankiness. Her Build paths are currently centered around you want a burst focused build using AP or sustained damage builds using AD. Her current issue is a lack of identity as an Assassin, but more as a flanker or Diver. Not too mention her abyssmal animations and rigging and outdated VO put her in a perfect position for a VGU, it's just whether Riot finds her lack of Identity so much an issue to bother updating her next year or the year after.

I'm pretty sure Eve would be getting a VGU in 2017.

Like I said in the title, these are just my assumptions. Riot wants to update Evelynn, but with their current list she doesn't seem too much an issue compared to others. If I were to go over my list again I would remove Urgot, push Nunu forward and slip Evelynn in after Nunu. Riot doesn't seem to keen or ready to update Urgot.

what about those?

Skarner Evelynn Shaco Azir Akali

all champions they said they wanted to give them a more dedicated rework. shaco, eve, and akali are only getting minor changes (mostly stealth) in the assassin update for that reason.

The post is about my assumptions of what we will see in the immediate year/year and a half and from what Riot has mentioned recently. It's all just my opinion and you can feel free to disagree.

I Already spoke about Evelynn and what I think about her and her standing on the post and in a few other comments. Shaco and Akali are being touched up in the Assassin rework, which will probably tide them over for a while. Akali was mentioned for not being too high on the list, similar to Cho'Gath and Irelia. Not too sure about Shaco, but the same could be assumed.

Azir isn't listed for a rework, he just needs balancing Adjustments like Kalista, just on a slighter bigger scale due to his kit being more complex. Azir's kit is fine, just a little overloaded and unbalanced. Riot has mentioned both champions being to good at too many things, so as a result they'll need to be dialed back and their strengths and weaknesses shifted around in order to be balanced. At the moment their kits lack a true direction, Azir's kit being too focused around too many things, and Kalista's having a very clear divide of whether Kalista should revolve around having an Oathsworn or a more independent kit. Think along the lines of the Adjustments Leona or Sona saw. Skarner follows a similar path of Kalista and Azir, but just a bigger scale, which will involve actual changes to his abilities. His visuals aren't the worst and his kit isn't bad, he just needs core adjustments to his passive and the way it interacts.

Hey bud, your information about Eve is grossly misguided. They've released a list of everyone getting Assassin reworks, and Evelynn is very conspicuously NOT on that list. Furthermore, Meddler and Reav3 have both been stating for months now that they are greatly expecting an Evelynn rework in 2017, and this is all but confirmed by the blurb about fleshing out her Shadow Isles lore temporarily to keep her in the loop despite the expectation that that lore will change in the near future.

Sorry about that I was reading through the pre-assassin update while a video on future changes was up and I mixed info. Thanks for correcting me.

Yeah I know. That's what I said in a few other comments already.

This post was made before the Assassins in the upcoming class update were released and tbh I expected it to be dead by now considering I posted this 2 weeks ago. That's why this post includes the word 'Assumption' and it is all just my opinions.

I'm aware Riot wants to update Evelynn and doubts we'll go through the year of 2017 without seeing her update, but two weeks ago I wasn't aware of that.

It's not like 'Shadows Beckon' gave any clear indication of when we were going to receive her update, just that we were going to get one. I could have assumed it'd be soon but 'eh'.

I stated in an earlier comment that due to information we've now been given it's safe to assume that we'll see Evelynn before Urgot.

I see little point in updating the post, it's not like this is a relevant enough post to worry about.
