YI and New IE

So Yi has always been a champ that abuses true damage (I can't be the only one who loves looking at the death recap and seeing 500 true dmg in 1.4 secs right?). But with new IE it is fucking ludicrous. I just played a game and was dove under tower and was killed in 1 sec. When I looked at recap it said 500 true dmg from his E and 600 from IE (or other way around, but nonetheless it added up to 1100 roughly). After I died I figured I should buy some armor and then I realized it, what the fuck is that gonna do for me? Why does Yi have so much accessibility to an uncounterable form of damage output, it's fucking stupid. And it doesn't help that his kit is designed to get on you and kill you before you can do anything to get away. Riot needs to update him or give him a full blown rework, cause I love his thematic but his in game is just a fucking annoyance to deal with.

try playing full tank Garen and seeing 50% of the damage from you being true damage in like 4 seconds.

Yi had no access to true damage until 2013.

He has always been able to do that, even the first form of Yi was able to do this, Yi since his inception has been able to dunk people.

Mitigate at least a little damage to give you time to hard CC him once and blow him up, some defenses are better then no defenses, that is like asking why you would wear a bullet proof vest that only covers your chest, to mitigate some of the damage.

CC lock > Yi, hell, one hard CC > Yi.

It's funny and disgusting at the same time. I've seen Yi's win games that should have been lost when all lanes lose because they do insane amounts of true damage this patch. I had one kill me in 0.73 seconds according to the death recap with 1723 or so damage. I couldn't even react properly, I just went pop. But people will defend that because "He's bad in high elo, hurr durr." Yeah, where you can reliably expect your teammates to be prepared to handle feed or famine champs, he's weak. This patch has jumped him back up to low elo pubstomper.

But that's the thing tho… aside from damage what else does he have?, what else can he provide or bring to the team in a teambased game aside from the ONLY thing he is good at...DAMAGE.

He brings no tankyness, no utility, no CC, no heals for team, no shields, no poke, no siege. He has all this working against him, so it would make sense that he is good at the **ONE **thing he's designed for. DAMAGE
