Riot, you are a pain

Not only do you add champions all the time, but you completely change the champions that are already out. Malz is not the same champion as he was prior to the rework ... nothing like the prior champion. The new yorick is totally different. STOP IT!

When I buy a champion, I don't want him changing! I want him balanced, sure, but I don't want a totally different champion than what I bought. SO CUT IT OUT! You are stealing from those of us that liked the way a champion was before you changed him. Yi, one of my first ... used to be AP if you built him that way. Not any more. Ashe is not the same. Cass. so many are so different it isn't funny. Those of us that buy a champion because we like that champion the way it is are being cheated. I can understand 4 to 6 weeks after introducing a champion that it might need a tweek or two, but the wholesale changes you do are NOT ok.

Maybe becuase they want to make a champion more healthy to the game, easier to be balanced, more fun, and because what would they ever do if they didn't rework Ryze every year?

My complaint though is that if I've bought a champion, then that is the champion I should always have. Not some totally different champion. They could have made a totally different champion, with a different name (ryze's brother, or Malzahar's anti-void doppelganger) don't care what they do, but just stop taking what I've already bought from me.

The thing is, some of these champions need to be reworked and not left forgotten. Yorick has been in hell for around 5 years without any recognition because of his lazy everything, his abilities are litteraly click button, spawn a ghoul, click another one, oh look a ghoul that's a different color...

Ryze got changed because of his insanely unhealthy playstyle, he can stun lock anyone he so choosed back then, he didn't even had to try hard to do things, it's all just point and click to kill. He was basically a champion with only one combo.

Malzahar is something I'm not exactly sure about because I was taking a break from league at the time, but I remember his kit a small bit. All that I know is that Malzahar was actually relatively the same as his kit pre-remake, his portals still come up with his ult. His minions still are there just changed a small bit in detail. He has a fairly recognizable kit compared to his older kit.

No, they don't need rework. If Riot just left the game alone it would be fine. Minor balancing could be done, and they could just let the players do as they want. Riot doesn't have to keep changing the meta, they could stabilize it and then let go. They don't need people to design new ways of play ... there are over 100 champions now. Yes, some are weaker than others, and minor balance can fix that. It would mean riot would have to just let go.

Yet some are too powerful than others, look back at champs like Irelia, she was too much for other top laners and had a fairly hard counter play. Even at a fairly large champion roster Riot is trying to achieve balance, but all that most players enjoy is finding the most broken champ and abusing it. Kind of like the Juggernaut meta a few seasons back. Players only used it because it was broken.

And instead of completely changing the champions, they should have adjusted ... it isn't like everyone plays just 20 champions out of the 132 available. (and they keep adding more! yuck!) It might be that 20 or 30 are more played, but balance isn't completely changing things, it is done by small changes.

The reason they need to do that is they keep changing the game. If it isn't broke, don't fix it. They should decide on a meta, and stay with it.

Part of the problem is Riot essentially lies about what they are trying to do. With champions like veigar, they nerfed him like crazy ... made his e take forever to cast and gave the enemy warning about it. it was "op" ... bull, unless you want to say that Zed and his shadow blink in and out are also op as all get out, and leblanc as well. They lie ... or at least don't stay consistent. if instant combinations are "op" for one champ, then they should be op for all champions. They need to stop changing champs ... get out of the business of change, especially because a champion is "too easy" to play. Bull. Don't change the kit. Balance with minor changes to ratios? Fine. Lower damage? Fine. Change the way they play. Not okay. If they were totally consistent, it wouldn't be as bad. But it is still them stealing champions because they don't want to do the hard work they steal one and give you something else in its place.
