I hate when I hear the above phrase ... it denigrates those that like whatever mode it is they are playing. Bot games are important to those that like them, ARAM is important to those that like them, Normals are important to those that like them, TT, CS ... whatever. If you really think "It doesn't matter, it's only ..." don't play that mode.

Yeah, its TB. But I can have a game that is up to an hour, with the whole idea behind it being 'winning'. So when ya feed, and don't respond to pings, or whatever else... it is really toxic.

I kind of see where these people are coming from. Sometimes when I'm playing normals, people really angry, and start arguing with each other. League is a game, and its purpose is to provide enjoyment. Sometimes people lose sight of this, and start taking it too seriously. Although it is fun to win, if you lose, someone is doing bad, or someone says something mean to you, that does not mean you should get mad and/or say something back. Sometimes you just need to relax, play the game, and have fun.

The problem is that people do not understand the word "game". Are the Olympics just a game? They even have game in the title.

Game means contest. You compete in a game and it is stupid to say it is only X. When the phrase its only a game stated originally it was meant to show it was not life or death. That saying and the word game has been bastardized by stupid kids.

This line means absolutely nothing. It's a true statement, but it conveys no new information and doesn't argue for or against anything. I don't know why people don't understand that.

"Do x/don't do y." "It doesn't matter, It's just ___." "What's your point? Still do x/don't do y."

You might as well say "who cares, the sky is blue."

The attitude is what it conveys though ... it ought to be a phrase that earns that player a permanent ban for that mode. They don't consider it worth any effort, so they can't play it.

CS player here... I know that feel so much. The worst part is that they say it after doing a big mistake just to make it look like they are good -_- Gosh... I hate this... if people don't care they shouldn't play, simple. Specially the high ranked SR players.. seriously those are the most annoying players ever!

As someone who has said this phrase I usually use it when people start flaming me in the game about one thing or another. When I play a normal game, I am usually not playing my main champion on my main role, so if I am not playing as well as my team thinks I should, it is because I am playing a champion I am trying to get better at rather than playing with only winning in mind. So if I am playing vayne ADC (which I am not good at) and not playing well and someone is flaming me I will say something like "Relax, normals is for people to try to improve their game, its not all about winning" (but I am still trying to win every game I play).
