my rank is barely decided by my skill, but by the amount of feeders/leavers etc. in my team

Even in high platinum stage, where players should be experienced enough to not do basic mistakes and players who tend to have bad behavior like leaving or feeding on purpose should not have the honour to play, my success is barely decided by my skill, but by the first two. Just lost another plat II promo....one of many, i lost the count already. A game where our adc decided to stray from the team entire game and push solo until he gets killed in enemy territory, because by his words the support was not playing according his bidding. The remaining players of my team constantly engaged in 1v3 or even 4 enemies and did other basic mistakes like hard baiting on a tank. I was fairly ahead, as well as our mid laner. I was feeling we have the better chance to win, no matter the bad moves they did but they just kept making bad moves and throwing in a stream. All i could do was to repair the mistakes as much as i can and spectate this fiasco. I wouldnt mind it, if such games was once in a while, but its not. Its unbelievable that at this stage of ranked this is extremely common. Ive been going between plat IV and II over 10 times prolly in the matter of 50-100 games. For having the experience they do to reach thus far, they should atleast lay back a bit and let the obviously better players carry them, instead of keep dying without purpose.Id say the overhelming majority of the games is decided by feeders and leavers and by the match making which is unable to fit balanced teams. I refuse to believe i can be decked with such players and share the same rank. EDIT: to actually shift my post of simply being plane words here is my stats for my last losses: 8/4/6; 10/3/10; 4/5/2; 5/8/10; 8/8/9; 18/10/13; 19/5/6; 4/7/8; For the last 8 lost games, i had positive to great performance under the circumstances of being matched with terrible players. I can partly blame myself in the 4/5/2 game for playing Twitch, which is so reliant on his team and can hardy stand out if they do so bad. Among my team there were 0/9/6, 1/10/8, 6/9/4. The 4/7/8 game i had the misfortune to get 1 of my good picks banned and another picked(both of whom are low pick/ban rate so its really a very rare sight) so i can fully blame myself there. I main Eve and over 80% of my last hundred or so games are with her. With an average kda of 9/6/11 i have 49% win rate....According this, to get out of plat, id prolly need to be 20/0 every game

I hate platinum as an elo, but to climb effectively you have to be better than the elo you are playing at. I'm diamond 5 currently, if I want to get diamond 4, the. I have to play better than I am right now.

LOL LOL LOL. This EXACT same thing happen to me in Bronze. I went from B2 to B5 0LP like 15 times. Like you I blamed terrible team mates, AFKs, feeders, trolls etc. As much as I was ready to give up, I eventually made it to Silver. Looking back, I cannot believe I ever had this much trouble in B5. It's the same with you. One day you'll be Diamond level and look back wondering how you ever struggled in Plat.

Thing I realized, feeders, afks and such don't really matter. The thing that enabled me to climb from one tier to the next was simply getting better than everyone at the specific elo I'm struggling at. Currently, I'm kinda between S5 and S4 and I keep falling down to S5 0LP. And while trolls, afks and such can be blamed for a fair bit of losses, I know the real reason is because I'm not yet skilled enough to climb out. I'm currently at my level of play. I'm sure if you played at Silver you will get afks, feeders and trolls too but I'm certain you'll still get out with a very high winrate because your skill can more than compensate for these drawbacks. I don't think it would apply any less to Plat and Diamond.

TLDR; You're at your skill level. That's why you're struggling to climb more.

Platinum is just horrible in general.

While you can climb through it if you deserve higher, the aggravation involved may not be worthwhile.

bronze and silver is mostly who get the team that takes the longest to surrender

You get trolls, feeders, afks, retards once in a while. Not every game. If you were better than the other plats you'd be climbing.
