Aren't they just repeating the Juggernaut update?

One of the sole reasons why the Juggernaut update ended up the way it did was because for SOME reason the balance team decided to buff EVERY tank they were reworking on the PBE close to release.

Maokai, Sejuani and Zac have all been seemingly buffed just because the community has been doing nothing but whine about them since their rework reveals.

I understand that these changes are pretty freaky, but I seriously don't think the balance team should be buffing these tanks as much as they are before they're even released. It's hilarious that they are just going to inevitably repeat the Juggernaut Patch.

Alternatively: Any word on Sejuani's skins being changed? They look like utter atrocities. Seriously, normally the skins team is decent, but they're just been so lazy and effortless when has it comes to Sejuani . Disappointed.

EDIT: For anyone misunderstanding, I'm not talking about the reworks themselves, but rather the over copious amount of buffs being pumped into these champions as a result of the negative view people have of them. Maokai's already seen significant buffs to ALL of his abilities. Sejuani's already seeing copious buffs. Zac is set to see his base damage on his ult increased despite already doing a tonne of damage naturally.

They probably like when a tank twoshots the midlaner or the adc.

Dude its going back to that meta, enough people complained about early game junglers fucking them so riot catered to them more since they dont have a trinket button

The whole juggernaut thing became a problem was mostly due to the item buffs and not necessarily the champs themselves all that much. So long as they are changed within reason then they might be stronger, but no where near the problem that occurred then.

That's actually a huge misconception. A massive part of it was that they overly buffed the champions close to release, as everyone was complaining they looked too weak on the PBE.

The items were part of it, but had they not buffed the champions to the extent that they had the situation would have been a lot more bearable and manageable.

Blame this silver forum for complaining about the tanks being "so weak".

Zac had the damage on all of his ability's except w nerfed, and his ult still does wayyy less damage than live.

Its not like they are buffing him for no reason or excessively.

Same with sejuani, having an ability that slows you feels bad to play, so they got rid of it.

Trading Damage for a lot more Hard CC is a perfectly viable trade off. There is no reason why Zac needs to be able to 100 - 0 Squishies with one ability rotation on top of 3 displacement CC's. Not too mention his ultimate is a team-wide skarner ult on top of all of that.

They don't need their damage buffed.

Problem is his main and best ability (E) had its CC knock up duration cut in half and his consistent CC has all been converted into situational or unreliable CC.

His new ult is garbage and basically every Zac main that has played with it has said it is far worse than the Zac ult on live, on top of having a longer cool down. PBE Zac is currently set to be a overall nerf than live Zac, in both damage and CC.

I would point you to going to the r/thesecretweapon/ Zac mains reddit or reading this challenger Zac main opinion's on the rework if you want reassurance that this isn't going to be like the juggernaut update because for the most part it looks like Zac is getting worse on the rework and not better. But hey, maybe we will get Zac support, so that might be interesting.

I'm going to have to take a closer look at where these damage buffs are, However there's one important factor for these two tanks in particular. They are Junglers, They need Clear speed, and they need Ganking power.

The only place they wouldn't need tons of damage, would be in their scaling.
