Usually not all the time, but I found this to work most of the time which lets me win my games. Paired up in a que with a duo? -> Dodge it. Odds are against you, take the lp loss and wait penalty. Paired up with a trio? -> Look at your team comp and attitude. If they're casual, dodge. If you guys have a worse comp, dodge. Paired up with a quartet? -> Play with them, even with a slightly disadvantaged team. Chances are they'll have better co-ordination and should come out top in teamfights.

I haven't been improving in mechanics or knowledge wise, but still climbing steadily thanks to knowing what premade groups to dodge. Riot also made it easier to spot pre-mades with their team tags which is a huge bonus.

That's what I thought so too. Logical for the most part except when u get the rare troll quartet.

True, sometimes you get those and the godlike smurf duos, but better safe than sorry I'd say. The reverse is true if you paired against premades.

Duo -> should be an easy win. Countergank their camps, pick on the person with lowest rank, should be a huge skil difference to stomp. Trio/Quartet -> Focus on the non-premade enemy, pray to the lord the quartet doesn't get fed before 10 minutes or it's GG. Use a split push comp with one waveclear champ to avoid teamfights.
