I Just Don't Know What I'm Doing Wrong

I play all my games decently well and make it to my Silver 1 promos. (Not every game was a win, up to this point, but that isn't what I'm trying to focus on right now.) Anyway, after putting all that effort into my games, I finally make it to the promo games. Game 1 starts, I'm playing Jinx ADC. All was going well, til I realized (not sure at what point in the game) that the enemy mid, Talon, was like, 7-0 or some crazy "I'm fed now" score. Then, r.i.p, everytime I leave base, I die, because Talon is now going around one-shotting everyone. [This isn't a QQ Talon post, so there's no need to go there.] He was simply fed and I couldn't do anything about it.

So, I'm thinking "Okay, that's fine. Not good, but I have no choice but to deal with it." Game 2 starts. I'm once again playing Jinx ADC. We go into the game with a "not good, but not too bad" invade (blitzcrank leading us in) and get a few Sums out of the enemy team. Game goes on, and everything seems to be going good. Blitz is getting good pulls on both their Janna and their Vayne, and netting me some kills. Our jungler (Warwick) was also ganking and counter-ganking quite well. So I'm thinking, "Okay, as long as we continue to play like this, we'll have this victory easy.".

However, I was terribly wrong. After about 10 minutes into the game, EVERYONE (except for my Blitz support) completely ignored the drake pit. The enemy team ended up getting every drake (beyond the first earth that we managed to snag) simply because our team wouldn't listen to Blitz and I pinging the drake pit EVERYTIME it was up. Following that was my mid and top splitting while the enemy team was grouping (because they could easily pick off anyone with their comp) which caused us to lose even more because blitz and I cant fight all 5 of them alone. Warwick was simply jungling the whole time, for who-knows-what-reason. I understand the jungle creeps still reward gold, but that gold is never worth 2-3 towers/neutral objectives.

So, basically I'm wondering, what is it I'm doing wrong? I put in all this work in my games, prior to promos, only to get to promos and lose them, due to factors I clearly have no control over. Am I doing something wrong? Am I the one who's playing poorly and don't notice it? If it's not me, how can I possibly get others to at least listen to my innocent "please come to drake pit, there's no one there" pings? Is the rank system intentionally making me lose due to the win-streak that leads me to the promos, in the first place? I've been to my Silver 1 promos almost at least 8+ times, now, and it's starting to become depressing.

TL;DR: Go on win-streak. Make it to S1 promos. Lose promos, due to uncontrollable factors. Feeling depressed about it. Need someone to tell me if it's me that's playing poorly or if the system is out to get me. Please and thank you.

You're making judgments based on a tiny experience. You technically can't fix stupid. You can try and ping and be a shot caller, but you can't control their champions. Just work on your own thing. If you're gold material you'll hit gold at some point.

I'm not saying you're wrong, nor am I agreeing with you, but the line "If you're gold material you'll hit gold at some point." doesn't make me feel any better. In fact, it just makes all the losses feel worse. I know you mean no offense by it, but that's how it feels to me.

I understand your frustration completely. This game is all but impossible to know where and how you need to improve to rank up, and when you are low mmr you get shit tons of bad advice / prodding from the people that have no idea how to play.

As someone that plays jungle a lot, I constantly see players in lanes that have no clue when too B, constantly try and kill the enemy champion even when behind, and ping me over and over if I hold there lane when they die, because I am "stealing" "their" farm

You just have to learn to ignore the nonsense, and focus on your game. Unfortunately I don't know where I need to improve my game to get out of the same situation so I definitely don't know where you do.

It really is a problem in my eyes that riot doesn't take a more active role in helping people understand where they need to be and what they should be doing. It really leads to a lot of conflict and throw games when you can't get your team to work together, because one guy things we should be doing drag another is off farming a lane and 3 are pushing another lane at random.

I mean it's not meant to make you feel better. It's not offensive either. Nothing wrong with playing at a silver level. Once you become gold-level play, you'll climb naturally. No one starts the game as a god, you just work at it and become better. Assuming you're a higher rank than you are can be arrogant and lead to poorer play. Just assume you are what you are until you prove to yourself otherwise, but make it a goal to prove yourself otherwise.
