I feel like nerfing her damage and CD simultaneously is a terrible idea. The early game nerfs are completely devastating and you are basically forced to rush a DFG if you want to have any chance of getting rolling at all. Why they think she needed early game nerfs is completely baffling to me considering her laning is god awful and she gets shit on by pretty much everyone.
It's just to reduce her early game power while retaining her usual late game power, since Riot just wants to work another way of avoiding her to be top bans in rank games.
I think she started getting more frustrating as mids lost there more reliable cc. Aka Talon and kassidin.
Katarina is compeletly overbearing in ceratin match-ups and against certain team-comps so I'd say this is justified so teams don't auto-lose at champ select.
As a Kat player I really don't see much of a difference... She still gets her insane AOE but now you have to choose your moments more wisely so I', perfectly fine with the nerfs.
