"Evelynn's burst is too damn high"
Honestly... I HIGHLY disagree. Evelyn, in all honesty, ONLY does a shit ton of damage when she lands her W which takes 2.5 seconds to proc. In all honestly, if you're nerfing her damage, you need to think of ways to make her feel overall better to play.
People actually learn how to play and adapt to Eve. The way you have the game right now, it's next to impossible to play Eve in the late game if teams are organized. I've played multiple games where teams straight up REFUSED to engage as long as I wasn't on the map. And what this did was disable me from not only getting picks, but from fights straight up not happening.
Yet, at the same time, you nerf her overall damage yet don't even consider how difficult it is to survive as an Eve being invaded. How are you going to straight up nerf her without giving her something to defend herself? Granted, this nerf really only affects tanky junglers, but at the same time I feel the nerf is unwarranted. While I do understand the sentiment, this is too harsh. If you want to nerf her overall burst, fine. You should up her sustain damage instead, then. At this point, her spikes are actually useless. It does so little damage early in the game, it's laughable.
I'm not suggesting you buff the damage on it, I suggest two possible changes:
-
Uncap the amount of times you can spam spikes when you hit your first part of the Q on a champion. This gives her more sustain overall and some more kite ability.
-
Reset her cooldown if she hits any units and make it not only work on jungle monsters
I also have a huge issue with Eve's ability to waveclear. It's pathetic.
Also, as a side not, lets add this on as an added bonus for things to think about
As HIGH as damage is, isn't it MIND BOGGLING how shields and heals still HIGHLY prevail in this current meta? You can't burst through shields nor have enough sustained damage to break through a shield before another one is granted. In addition, lifesteal is also added onto this fact making it near impossible to kill an adc unless ALL members of a team straight focus either the adc in the middle of a fight or pick the support before the fight begins.
And this is with damage overall going up and sustain (heals and shields) receiving minor buffs.
