Why? When defeat is obvious, when your entire team died in a doomed 5v5 without killing a single enemy.
Do you honestly believe that you're going to turn things around?
I honestly think people just refuse surrender as a way to troll their teammates.
For the most part my excuse to never hit yes on Surrender is because I simply learn and improve more by playing from behind. Anyone can make plays while they're ahead.
I've also won far too many games that looked dire. People are going to make stupid decisions in League of Legends, especially when ahead.
Hell I recently lost a game when the enemy had a blatant feeder. The Udyr would literally roam the map just to get killed by us purposely. How we lost? We were all distracted and appalled by the Udyr talking in /all chat asking "WTH is problem is." We were all very fed assuming the game was won. By the time 20 minutes is up and were all fed and what not were like "Ok Surrender now" the enemy is like "Nah." I don't think they planned on winning, maybe they just wanted to spite the Udyr but it turns out their bottom lane was fairly fed, Tristana + Heimer and a Devourer Trundle.
My Kalista wasn't playing well at all, not building a LW with all that gold she had to shred down the Trundle, worse is we were a full dive team, Wukong, Lee, Diana, so Heimers turrets would wreck us. And they could turtle like crazy because of Heimer and we had no siege. It took us far too long to realize "Holy snaps we might actually lose this!" And we did.
