Why won't you surrender?

Why? When defeat is obvious, when your entire team died in a doomed 5v5 without killing a single enemy.

Do you honestly believe that you're going to turn things around?

I honestly think people just refuse surrender as a way to troll their teammates.

its not over until the nexus falls.

You lose 100% of the games you surrender.

So long as the nexus survives, you have a chance.

Blind optimism is just as bad as blind pessimism, however only one leads to throwing away a possible victory.

If your allies won't see reason and just won't surrender then don't try to surrender. Don't spam the surrender vote, just try your very best and see if your allies see something you do not. If they don't actually see anything and are just being hopeful the game will be over soon anyway.

I'm not saying you're a surrender spammer, however I'm sure one of them will drop by this thread and read what I said.

For the most part my excuse to never hit yes on Surrender is because I simply learn and improve more by playing from behind. Anyone can make plays while they're ahead.

I've also won far too many games that looked dire. People are going to make stupid decisions in League of Legends, especially when ahead.

Hell I recently lost a game when the enemy had a blatant feeder. The Udyr would literally roam the map just to get killed by us purposely. How we lost? We were all distracted and appalled by the Udyr talking in /all chat asking "WTH is problem is." We were all very fed assuming the game was won. By the time 20 minutes is up and were all fed and what not were like "Ok Surrender now" the enemy is like "Nah." I don't think they planned on winning, maybe they just wanted to spite the Udyr but it turns out their bottom lane was fairly fed, Tristana + Heimer and a Devourer Trundle.

My Kalista wasn't playing well at all, not building a LW with all that gold she had to shred down the Trundle, worse is we were a full dive team, Wukong, Lee, Diana, so Heimers turrets would wreck us. And they could turtle like crazy because of Heimer and we had no siege. It took us far too long to realize "Holy snaps we might actually lose this!" And we did.

It is a matter of pride for some people (myself included) that surrendering feels like giving up but pushing it to the very end at least feels like you tried your best rather then quitting when things got tough. That and I usually like to try fighting with the next item I bought.

Because you never know when riot's servers send a miracle your way.

Just recently I finished a game 2/8/2 on Garen. I was laning against a Teemo an annoying match up I can normally handle, but I totally forgot he was running Ignite over TP and gave up FB early. Lane was over from then on. I was either being denied or killed again. My jungler didn't come top (I told him not to tbh and worry about Bot). Teemo was able to actually push down top inhib alone since he was just that strong. I muted the one guy on our team who was being a pessemist our ADC. To make things worse our Ahri was losing to Orianna.

I analysised the situation. My team composed of Garen, Sona, Ahri, Jinx and Yi. However on the flip side the enemy had Teemo, Shyvana, Orianna, Caitlyn and Vel'koz. Also both solo laners opted for Ignite while my team went double TP so we can play the map better. Now as always I never care if I get countered by Teemo because he always fucks his team comp over. Not only was their only front liner Shyvana, but they had 0 point and click CC, meaning Master Yi could literally run them over. I was worried about a Devourer Shyvana but it turns out he went Cinderhulk, probably to be a prime frontliner for a team of 4 squishies.

I built as tanky as I could to simply allow Jinx and Yi to go ham. At the end were pushed into our base but trying to get baron control, our 9/5 Jinx get's picked and the enemy pulls the trigger. Pushing for a win chasing the rest of us down who tried to save Jinx, allowing Yi to creep along the back and tear all those squishies. And we ace them in pretty much a 4v5 about 40 minutes in. WIth out our ADC and I think even Ahri was dead we proceed to push down mid (yes first mid turret was still up) Went through 5 turrets, an inhib and took the Nexus.

Never considered surrendering. http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/1997428114/36303808?tab=overview
