I come Back after Three years.

And somehow, it feels like the game is in even worse shape than before.

I just played as Vlad vs Fiona and got absolutely stomped. She had superior damage to me, superior mobility, superior survivability, and blocked my freakin ult.

It upsets me greatly because I remember when Vlad got his original nerfs way back when. iirc it was because "he had too much survivability for his damage capability" yet somehow it's just peachy that Fiona can do way more than old Vlad ever could.

Also, what is your issue with point and click skills? I've been looking at the skillsets for the more recent champions, and if anything we need ore auto target skills, not less.

I WANT to like this game, but you're making it really diffcult for me. All the champions I loved from three years ago cannot keep up with more recent releases.

well for starters you haven't played in 3 years, it's not a surprise you got shrekt.

Also it's the new thing, add healing or true damage to every single rework or new champion.

Vlad into Fiora is a bad matchup in the first place. Also, Fiora has pathetic survivability outside of 1v1 scenarios, unless people are playing like the kind of retards that lose to Fizz because they threw everything at him within the same fraction of a second.

And what's actually wrong with more skill shots instead of targeted spells? The fact that you might have to aim for once, or that minions might actually be able to protect the champion?

There are some old champions that need work, but not many. Also, you came in right at the pre-season, so if you stick around, you'll see the Marksman update and Poppy rework.

Oh no, you picked a late game scaler against a strong laner with superior all-in potential.

Oh you let her reach late game? You should've bullied her in lane to delay her scaling.

....

Fiora

Why?

Fiora is gamebreakingly overpowered. The game is in a FAR worse state than it was 3 years ago (season 2). Actually that was when league cam closest to being balanced.

SKT just wrecked Origin's Fiore top with a Renekton. His CS was amazing and 2 large ganks killing him didn't remove Renektons 80 cs lead.

Vlad relies on his abilities, fiora has sustained damage output. Vlad has one defense ability, which costs health. I wonder why you lost.

So you brought a range top & got lost by an actual melee top, Big deal.

I say justice is served.

And btw, it's FIORA, not Fiona.

As a long time Vlad player I would just like to point out.....

Compared to live values his early game has been BUFFED, release Vlad did less Q damage AND Q had a longer cooldown. 15 seconds vs today's 10. Also the Q's healing has gotten more reliable now that it is a fixed value as opposed to a percentage of damage done. Where the nerfs hurt are his late game where the damage has deceased, the cooldowns have increased, and his passive has gotten weaker.

Just saying that if you are going to nitpick on Vlad getting weaker looking at his early game probably isn't the best place to start.

On a final note Vlad has always had trouble with enemies that can easily close the gap on him, he relies on out trading his opponent so when they can force a flight or flight he generally loses in the early game. Fiora is good at getting in his face so I am not surprised you had issues. Vlad has less lane issues than he has had in the past although the previous counters still work just fine, I am sorry you went into a game facing one of them.

To bad you didnt play in april or july. Vlad was a terror around that time.

You are playing a constantly changing game for the first time in 3 years, and you're assuming that you are just as good as you were before, and that you are just as knowledgeable as before. I'm sorry to break it to you, but things have changed, and if you don't look at it and learn, instead bitching about someone you lost to that you didn't understand (you probably let her hit every vital and tried to use all of your spells into Riposte), you're gonna get fucked. If I hadn't played football in 100 years, and had woke up from some sort of crazy coma to play it, I would be incredibly shocked at the game. You know, there's passing now, fast players are important, running isn't just ramming some guys into other guys, and people are paid millions of dollars to coach the teams. However, just getting pissed at it and complaining about how my 300 LB guys are getting steamrolled and how I'm getting outplayed at every turn would be just ignorant and dumb.

Welcome to the League of Legends (which doesnt make sense anymore since the Intitute of war was retconned).

You have to understand that this is not the same game you played three years ago. Things change, and those who can't adapt leave. If you treat League of today as if it was still season 2 you will always be disappointed with how things are being handled, however if you look at it as it is rather than what it was it's significantly easier to be happy with it.

Older champions are slowly getting touchups to keep them competitive, however all can still be played if you're willing to put the time and energy into learning how. Their play style has changed far more than their kits since you were last here, after all.

Beertaster10/24/2015, 8:19:13 PM1 votes

You complain about one game, after playing a reworked champ that you probably didn't know any of the new changes made. You likely complained about losing when you likely had no idea what the match up was like.
