I honestly don't understand why people take TP in top lane in solo queue

The only reason why pros do it is because of land swaps as its the only way top laners can remain relevant with teleporting to tower early in 1v2s once minions push to their towers or TP ganks. Majority of the time, people don't even TP gank bot or split push with it. Ignite is better for lane pressure and exhaust is as well (and exhaust arguably is a better late game summoner for a top Laner to have on many tops). I get that people emulate pro play but I think this is one thing they lose sight of and don't really consider. Just a thought.

No. it allows Top laner to be able to have global presence while split pushing. It allows Top laner to be more versatile in terms of map presence.

And they literally never split push or use it to TP gank so what's your point

Not sure where your elo is since you are most likely posting under and alternative account, but most Top laners I get do Tp and split push. I have no clue why you are not seeing it, unless you are that top laner lmao

Not a single clue where your threads came from lmao. I'm D5 and honestly Tp is so important on a team in most games. May I have your IGN on that plat accoutn?

Any one who uses TP has more map awareness then players with flash or other spells. And Tp can be used to rush for a kill from some one recalling. Homeguards and Tp can be used to rush in the team fight and blow tibbers. There are many plays with it.

its for contesting objectives..mainly dragon, but it only works when you use it...and your team discovers the discount map hacks and places one near the objective Amumu

It completely depends on my top laner if I take it or not. For Garen and Shen I take it every time as my goal is to farm and stale mate not create lane pressure, but just to keep the top laner locked in the chess match top. If I'm running Swain I take Ignite, because I'm going to farm, snowball, and win.

top lane is the longest lane and there's allot of ad top laners that can push your tower down in a wave or two if you give them that much time so taking tp is smart simply to keep the enemy team from pushing your tower down for free. it also allows you to gank other lanes and then get back to lane fairly quickly

You don't get it because you're a baddie! Gnar

So your argument is people don't do what makes tp good so instead of actually doing what makes tp good just completely ignore it and get something else as opposed to making yourself better. k.

If you're a teamfighting champion, it could be argued exhaust is way better
