Nerfing previsouly not OP Champions
Season 5 has been one of the most controversial seasons in League of Legends and i want to talk about a specific part of this. And that is nerfing Champions that weren't previously Op.
Lets Start with
He was not considered Op for about two seasons. And other adc's like corki, cait, vayne, trist always had that spot taken. But because Riot likes to nerf everything instead of buffing and compensating everything around it, it leads to this. Healthy champs seemingly become OP because everything is now nerfed. IMO Graves is one of the healthier Adc's he doesn't have extreme mobility, and you can literally dodge every single one of his abilities. His Q and R his main damage source both can be dodged. Also he has very low range to compensate for his huge burst. And to compensate for his low range and easy abilities to dodge he has a passive to help him to survive a little longer. But because of the new assassin Mobility meta where everyone is squishy it makes his burst seem Op when in season 2 3 and 4 it wasn't a problem because tanks were actually tanks. Although not yet nerfed its possible its incoming with all the complaints.
On to
many considered him to be OP and broken. But if I remember correctly last season it was lee, elise, and vi. That were OP and they were picked a whole lot more than J4. But once again the whole jungle was buffed to make it harder and they removed spirit of the elder lizard and spirit of the ancient golem and spirit of the spectral wraith it removed alot of sustain in the jungle. Which made J4 shine because he always had amazing sustain but that never mattered because everyone could clear the jungle at a reasonable pace. Again a champ nerfed because Riot decided to nerf everything around them which made them strong. J4 IMO is also healthy he as one all in his Q E and once its used you cant use it twice till late game where his Damage falls off greatly. His R is a double edged sword you can trap enemies, but you can also cut your team off and trap your teammates in it. But he was nerfed.
There has never been a SEASON where Veigar was considered the most broken champ in the game. Yeah he had games where he shined brightly but he was always out shined by other mids. This champ wasn't nerfed because everything else was nerfed he was nerfed because he saw LCS play as a support and Riot decided to nerf him because it didn't fit into their meta that they don't enforce.
Then this leads to another problem where players don't want their favorite champ played in LCS because of the chance of being Nerfed. I understand Riot balances the game around the pro scene thats fine with me. But DO NOT BALANCE CHAMPS AROUND THE PRO SCENE. Like pros are the cream of the crop and of course they can make a champ look really OP. But Riot 80% of your player base is Bronze. Its sad that your favorite champ is nerfed to the point of being unplayable because a pro decided to play it in the LCS. Or your afraid for your champ the receive buffs because you know riot doesn't know how to buff properly and it will make your champ shine for about 2 weeks which will lead to them being nerfed and not even back to their original state. Its a state which their win rate is 40%.
Name other champs who were healthy but go nerfed. Also do you think riot should balance champs around the LCS. And do you fear your champ getting nerfed if a player in the LCS plays them.
