Tri Force or Black Cleaver on Darius and Vi?

Cleaver for Darius, because for whatever reason Riot thinks Darius should just have more movement speed than you at all times o-o

Tri force also has the rage passive. It also has % ms boost apart from said rage passive. Tri makes darius faster than cleaver.

Cleaver has only one instance where its rage is better.

Cleaver's version of Rage involves ALL physical damage, not just Auto Attacks, which means that as long as SOMEONE is bleeding, Darius is gaining bonus movement speed. Trinity force is more expensive, doesn't really give Darius everything he needs for the price of buying it, and doesn't provide Armor shred, which goes along great with the built in Armor pen he already has, as well as the physical damage bleed he gets. Trinity Force might be a fun alternative to Cleaver, but in every sense, Trinity Force is inferior to Cleaver on Darius

Against squishier teams. The bc shred isnt really worth it if the enemy is running a 4 man carry comp with only one tank/bruiser.

I already noted the difference in the rage passives, you just dont pick up on grammatical hints.

I didnt get to platinum 1 by being an ignoramus.

Darius OTP coming in hot

BC is usually the go to item.

However against certain matchups and team comps, its not bad to build triforce.

Against squishy teams with only one tank, tri force is preferred. It helps stacking faster and it also makes your W crippling strike hit like an absolute fucking truck.

The new tri force with no crit and 20% cdr has become a situational darius buy rather than a never buy. Determine the enemy team's overall tankiness. Damage heavy but low tank teams may have you considering trinforce over BC for a good reason.

Black cleaver on darius for sure, he passive bleed fully stacks it on one auto and refreshes it, its synergy is far better than tri force, on vi i get both.

That's personally what I do. Vi can get away with building Black Cleaver as her only damage item then go straight tank if she's behind thanks to all the armour shred she can give her team. Triforce is more of a all-in bursty item for blowing up squishies. She's a very flexible champion in both role and build, its one of her strong points :P

As a Vi OTP, Trinity on Vi is far superior to BC. Only take BC if you are so far behind you wont get a Tri by 25 minutes.

You're splitting passives filling this. You're better off one or the other.

not really... triforce has a lot of different stats. cdr of 20% , mana, hp, ad, shen proc that does bonus damage based of base ad. base movement speed buff of 5% and attack speed. it don't have armor pen. as far as clever it don't have attack speed, mana, the shen proc. the base 5% ms buff. you can go both and benefit. the only over lapping passive is the +20ms for 2 seconds. but that isn't that bad considering all the other stats you get .

Triforce is situational, whereas BC is always useful and easier to build.

If the enemy team has 2 or more people that will build armor, get BC on VI. BC's armor shred doesn't fall off like the dmg from Trinity, which is early (if you can farm fast) and midgame item. VI can get away with building dmg and assasinating the backline, if you have another person that can initiate or tank.

Yeah. Main reason I thought of TriForce was due to their innate armor shred in their kit. Vi maybe but Darius, nah due to his bleed passive.

Was just looking at his base AD and was thinking - Dayum! Dat AD.

As a Vi main, if I'm choosing one of them, I tend to go with Trinity Force, because I've already got comparable shred to Cleaver in half as many hits. It doesn't quite stack up as well when they're combined, and Trinity just gives more overall utility and damage for Vi.

Darius would probably stick with Cleaver, because free MS whenever someone's bleeding, pretty much automatically guaranteed to reach max stacks, and he already has natural % Pen.

Have not played a lot of darius before but Vi is my main jungler. Now generally when things go well I will go triforce on Vi. But the reason I do so is because I want to dive their backline and can reliably kill 1 or 2 people once there with triforce. If the enemy has a morgana or another reason you cannot dive the backline I find that BC is much better. It is a different playstyle where you peel for your adc and try to shred armor from the tanks they shoot at. In faster games such as premade 5v5 games I find that teamfights often start at 20 minutes or before and you need defensive items before full on teamfights happen to triforce is also bad there.
