Not necessarily. The community actually downvotes people who are off-topic or rude to Rioters, which is one reason why I love it so much.

Yeah if its on player reform boards or if someone posts something non-serious and someone bitches at them. But the minute a rioter posts something serious, related to the game etc. they get downvoted to all hell.

They downvote essentially ANYTHING in gameplay and balance. They downvoted Riot's decision to ban tyler1. They downvoted anything to do with player reform back when Lyte was in charge, and they downvote anything that isn't in Memes & Games(or should be, as this post should) or isn't Rioters telling a toxic player that they did in fact deserve their ban and should quit whining.

The downvoting of Tyler1 was in reddit. It got 500 upvotes in the Boards, if I remember correctly.

They upvoted a lot of Rioter posts, such as RiotRepertoir's mage updates asking players what they felt were good ideas and what weren't.

I think there was about a split 2:1 split of downvotes to upvotes.

Nothing in her lore links her to ezreal. That whole thing started as a fan ship and riot kinda accepted it and hinted at it in various forms. The hermit on Howling Abyss mentions something about Ez and a "Miss Crownguard" which could be Lux or another Crownguard (cousins and such). Also, there was a picture included in the Aatrox release teaser (which was posted by Ezreal)

And? There was rumors of pantheon climbing up to ashes balcony, which Riot quickly squelched by stating he would never climb when he can simply mandrop

You also missed the point of my statement, as I meant that he has missed quite a bit of the lore riot used to make about champs

I think that might've been before the lore revamp, which in turn means that unless they say it happened again means it didn't happen.

Good chance it happened though, lux is a spellthief, a natural prodigy at spellcraft, capable of learning spells after viewing them once, and sometimes even enhancing them.

Shame that her story so far is only really capable of making use of her as a martyr for garen. sure she is strong, but she has no motive, no dreams, nothing to accomplish.

don't need to be invisible to hide in plain sight. infact, its not hiding in plain sight if you are invisible, as if you are invisible you are no longer in plain sight.

But she can control light, and that's heavily associated with invisibility. Or at least, partial invisibility. I think assuming she can go invisible (or at least difficult to see unless you focus at her) in the lore is more than fair.

That's true in the case of Lux, but that's not generally true. Anything in the old lore that didn't directly mention the Institute of War is still considered Canon, as far as I know.

To my knowledge it was a full lore revamp. which means everything.

Pretty much everything save the shurima stuff and the freljord stuff was all thrown out.

And the stuff that relied on the league is still up in the air about how it's gonna work.

Well, that's not how I understood it... For me, it was just: "we want to get rid of the IoW/the LoL inside the lore because it's a too restricted framework to say interesting stories", but that means that anything that didn't directly mention this problematic element is still valid until further notice. The Rune Wars, the Noxian invasion of Ionia, the Barbarian Wars, etc., is still canon.

I may be wrong... We should ask Jaredan ^^

At a glance it seems so, But pretty much everything revolved around the league for a long while. the noxians only invaded ionia because of the league. The rune wars would've ended the world without the league being created as an alternative. I can't find any sources on the barbarian wars but it also probably had some part tied with the league.

The thing is, in the old lore the league of legends was the center stone, it served as a base for everything that happened, and while it did inhibit things, Removing it without a sufficient replacement has caused issues, such as all lore from before the retcon no longer functioning, except for a few things, such as the freljord and shurima stuff.

Her first kit version that was tested in beta actually made her and her allies invisible instead of giving a shield. And there's nothing telling about a shield in that lore.

I mean, of course to some extent champs in League do more than only those 4 spells in the game. But this particular example is actually false.

Actually the opposite.

New Ryze actually makes sense. Desperate power was the thing that didn't seem ultimatey enough despite how big it made his spells look. And when Furor enchantment was gone, it was hard to catch enemies by spamming Q on minions. Now it's...beautiful.
