Why did I lose 17 LP when my team remade despite reconnecting prior to vote?

Just a few minutes ago I started loading in game, when my power suddenly went out. I reconnected as soon as I could, and managed to get back in game at 2:50. Even though I typed in chat that I was back, and began making my way back to lane, my team still remade, and even though it was totally playable, the game was canceled and I lost LP. For no reason.

You sure you made it back in time? I dont see how the vote option would of came up if you was moving and typing before the 3 min mark.

Because Riot refuses to acknowledge that more often than not, they're punishing players for encountering a fault in their game (Loading screen crashes etc.) with the occasional mishap on a players side, (Power outage, internet problem, etc.)

Remake is a system that does way more bad than good, but since bronze and silver make up 80% of the community and they will type /remake just because you connected a minute or 2 late because they think connecting late is an auto loss, the system will stay and a large majority of the time you will lose lp for something you can't control even when you do your best to get back quickly and not inconvenience your team.

you lose the LP due to the fact that you were the one who was afk. regardless of why, you team voted to remake, it happen and you were the reason why the remake was done. therefore you get punished. that is how it is set up. it sucks.

i thought remake will not work when the player was or is connected to the game any time before 3 minutes.
