Ranked borders: Wouldn't it be more enjoyable if they changed division to division like other games?

I feel like handing them out at the end of the year is a bit dated and just not as motivational to play for day to day. All the other games I play or have played use a rank to rank or division to division system so I can visually see and feel the progress i'm making more easily to both myself and others.

Obviously you can see the change in client somewhere, but I feel like seeing that border change every few games (whether up or down) would be a nice motivational kick, and showing it to others every game would drive someone to try harder as well.

Every other game I try so hard in ranked and play as much as I can because I really wanna get to that next division and show people in game my progress as I go, it's motivational. With League i'm just like, "Eh, I still got a few months, eh I still got a few weeks....oh shit it's already Worlds"

100% support having your border change with your CURRENT RANK.

I have no idea why your border reflects how high your mmr got 1 year before .

It should reflect how good your are CURRENTLY. Massive support.

I agree it is a good idea, and would show how good your teammates are (kinda).

However, the border currently works as a reward for achieving a rank. If you lost divisions, you'll lose your border, which some players might not like as they previously earned that reward. At the end of season however, they don't complain they lost part of their reward, seeing as they didnt have it in the first place

Also, i don't think borders were implemented to show everyone how good you currently are.

Im not disagreeing with your idea however, its definitely a good one

You see. The problem here is that when a bronze is in the same team with silver players you'll get : "GG, NO RANKED BORDER. WE HAVE A BRONZE NUB IN OUR TEAM"

Ranked boarder is basically only used to identify boosted animals now a day, if you have a low elo boarder in a high elo game boom everyone thinks you are a boosted animal.

even if they do it this way there will still be those matches with bronzers against golds (im silver) in promo to higher division.... i lost my motivation and i think will never be high enought for me to give a shit for it :D

They already have dots on the bottom based on division. Why not upgrade it?

I support this 100%. It gives you a little more incentive to do your best and it more accurately shows people which rank you're in. Almost every single game I play I see someone with a boarder (or even no boarder at all) when it doesn't accurately represent where they on the ranked ladder.
