Unpopular opinion: I like the 2 week patches, and I think it's a decent part of Leagues success.

Especially with how short of an attention span people have these days, 2 week patches whether they're big or small...it does keep the game feeling extremely fresh all year round. When they're not doing as much in the off season the game gets very chill and most drift to other games for a bit. People always come back tho cuz it's fun seeing games constantly get tweaked and changed. New things to buy, play with, learn, etc.

And altho i'm sympathetic with pros and how they say they need to play so much to learn the game again, I think they need to just practice more efficiently. No matter what the Koreans are going to practice 24/7 anyways, they won't play less with less patches, so if NA and most regions wanna compete they still have to do as much as they can to win regardless of how frequent patches are. I also think anything is relatively playable with the right comp, players, etc, I think an extremely strict meta is a bit overblown personally.

tl;dr Keep the 2 week patches, it keeps the game exciting and fresh while games like CoD get a refresh every year, feels fresh again every year, but about 1-2 months after the release its dead cuz it barely gets meaningful updates with the exception for expensive DLC.
