So I ended season in silver 2. If I get to gold will I get better placement?

Oh my god. DTN responded to thread. In meantime I fell from SIlver 2 to SIlver 3.. But when I go to op.gg this is what I see..

Ya, your MMR's are averaged in a duo, so the system they use can't hardly separate them and determine your own very well if you play too many. They only have a rough estimate.

To expand on my "yes", that's really a generalization. It's possible to have worse MMR and still get promoted. Typically your MMR will be better though, so the rule of thumb would be that "Yes, if you go up in rank it's better for your next placements than if you didn't".

I hope.. Its not worthly to frustrate over getting to gold over preseason. When is S6 starting? Also. one more question. Do we get gifts for new year from rito?

well the EU LCS starts on January 14 and i believe the LCK and LPL start a little earlier than that? so i would guess season 6 will start sometime between Jan 7 and Jan 10. Also, Riot has not been one to give gifts for new years so don't count on it
