I need help with kiting.

I have a lot to learn with this game, A LOT. I AM A HORRIBLE PLAYER.. there is always that Xin, that Yi, Vi, and Zed who makes my AD carry games much more... exciting since I get to test my ability to not get shitted on. No I am not splitpushing when everything is MIA.

I want to play the role AD Carry because I'm good at solo lanes at least I think I'm better at it than ADC. It is challenging and a very exciting experience synergizing with your senpai support and giving them compliments on how they carried my lane later on in the game when ADCs actually do things.

But I'm trying to learn AA-based ADCs like Vayne or Jinx (in minigun form) It just seems everytime I'm trying to outplay a bruiser my hands just gets spasms and misclicks, as ATK speed increases kiting becomes much more like giving your mouse a handjob.

How do I improve kiting?

Well, It is supposed to feel like giving your mouse a handjob. I play EzEzreal a lot, and just oh.. god.. KITE ALL DAY BRO. Here's a few tips I learned in my time.

  1. Don't overextend. This is the hardest one by far, but keep in mind that you should be always behind your minions unless you want to dive somebody (in that case, you shouldn't until you get a bunch of AP/D power).
  2. STACK UP ON AP!!!!!!! Pretty self-explanatory if you are AP. If AD, same thing XD.
  3. Don't go against bruisers.

But but but i wanna master aa adcs QQ but I think nervousness is also a factor, its common to make misclicks and click so rapidly when your nervous.

Yeah, I usually die when my hand wants to do something else than clicking all day and I dive under a turret with quarter health (and on Es hat's like 150 XD)

So vayne is a god at kiting if you can get your muscle memory down. I know the theory, so I can tell you that much at least. Essentially, you want to always keep your mouse in the direction you want to walk. Use attack move click and regular click, swap back and forth between them to kite. With Vayne, you can use tumble and condemn to make this easier. Here's a video with some basics on attack move click , if you didnt already knwo them: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fUJ7YdU3gZE

I find it actually quite hard to use attack move click because of the finger positioning.. My left hand is usually on Q, W, E, R and its hard to use attack move click since the A button just makes tumbling really awkward.

I tried to assign attack move click to left button but it kinda fked up all the other mechanics of the game. Shops, chat, etc.

then you should find a button that it works on, because you're never going to be able to kite effectively until you use attack move click. personally, i use mouse button 5 which is on the side of my mouse, leaving left click and right click alone

id be willing to play a game with you and maybe watch you; a lot of low-level elo players dont know when to use their abilities (like escapes) so I could give you some advice on that if you want.

Sounds to me that his problem is mechanical, stop telling him not to overextend or that he might be using his abilities wrong. Don't use attack move, learn to DI properly. It's not that hard. DI-ing, stutter-stepping and a bit of orb-walking and you're good to go in a few days. Two months to clean the actions up and become muscle memory.
