Combine that with the fact that late-game, you're basically required to deal upwards of 40-50% of your team's damage from 500-600 range of a team full of people dead set on killing you, and it's even worse.

Spoofghoul4 votes

Then again you deal sustained assassin burst level damage every auto attack

Nobody can 1v1 you outside of some assassins oneshotting

You are still ranged

You melt tanks in less then 3 seconds meanhile you can last indefinetly if not focued down due to lifesteal draintanking

There is a reason everyone on the enemy team wants you dead asap because if they don't they will all drop in seconds so they all just try to pile on top of you as fast as they can and slaughter you

KETSU04 votes

Its so true, I dont understand why riot wants get rid of assassins that oneshot they're the only type of champions that can reliably get deal with adcs with high protection and range that makes them near untouchable. If they take that away it'll make adcs especially protect the hypercarry comps overpowered and opposing teams to go full rambo comps and have no choice but to 5 man bot 24/7. A yet they still have the nerve to complain about their role being "stressful", pfft cry me a river

GayFluffyUnicorn2 votes

Especially since all adcs need to do is rightclick and walk away basically. Try playing a toplaner, needing to peel, try not to die, focus the enemy carry, protect your squishies. THAT is stressful. ADCs get babysitted by every member of their team and they can all focus on themselves and dealing dmg. Not to forget that most adcs have in built high utility or CC like ashe permaslow/stun, Jhin fountain to fountain ult+root and a slow and a MS steroid. MF atleast a slow, jinx root and slow etc. There is enough to do and it's not like only adcs get focused, main target is mostly the enemy high dmg mage (if they have one) since they will deal massive AOE dmg+ provide lots of cc.

Warlord Zudane7 votes

Wow, it's almost like... all roles can be stressful.

ADC's get focused and need to stay back while also doing damage.

Tanks try to get focus and need to stay alive while taking damage.

Assassins need to get in to do quick damage without dying and can be equally focused like ADCs.

Mages can also be focused if they have a good burst damage, they need to stay ranged while also watching their mana pool constantly to make sure they can do their attacks because without the abilities most of them are useless.

The list just goes on and on.

Seriously, all roles are hard.

Spoofghoul3 votes

pretty much yes

but support is probably the msot stressfull ass you have to baysit all these stressed out kiddo's so they don't do stupid shit and clean up after them and tell them what to do

i guess being a sup is like being a mom

and moms get insulted every game too

Does anyone also remember that Riot nerfed the only real defense against ZED, FIZZ, and most cc against an adc. item 3140

KETSU02 votes

You have a support for reason.

Jaeryn 14 votes

Not all supports have a clue. You'd have to wait till you get into higher mmr in norms and higher elo like above plat 3 for your support to know what the actual fk is going on.

The A lister3 votes

honestly in lower brackets most people don't know how to peel they just straight fight. Ik i do it sometimes

Support main here with a friend who is an adc main. Every now and then we switch roles just for fun and to try different things and let me tell you, going from support to adc is hard. The support (depending on who you play) can already have a huge target on them, but the adc will 95% of the time have first priority to kill in teamfights. Positioning yourself is really hard because if you go to close you get blown up, if you're too far you don't do anything. And then there are those people who complain that "You could of totally killed x" but you didn't wanna move up to kill them because there's a wild Shaco/Rengar/SomeOtherDeadlyPerson MIA and you didn't wanna risk it. My hat goes off to anyone who can pull it off, and even those who just try.

AwesomeChad21 votes

Yep, I posted on a support thread a few days ago stating that its not always the ADC's fault for bad things happening and from the way the support player wrote his/her thread, it was clear they were deflecting all blame. Of course, supporters of the thread would downvote me. How can you expect to improve as a player on any role or solve any conflict if you can't take criticism or accept your own mistakes?

Furthermore, the truth is that the game is more centered around bot lane this season. Getting camped, cheesed early game, and heavily countered by specific champion picks is only natural.

The Bearded Bard11 votes

Then you realize the items and kits they have make them the safest champions in the game and it's all okay again.

Kingnewgameplus35 votes

Yes. The champions who build full glass cannon, have about 2 defensive items available to them total, and are required to get in auto range to do damage, which is very dangerous if your not cait or trist... are the safest class in the game. Aight.

BIH Diamond9 votes

You have a whole role dedicated to keeping you safe.

DJMason8834 votes

Im tired of this stupid ass presumption that supports are entitled to only keep their ADC safe. Supports do not just keep their ADCs safe, but they roam, ward, provide healing/cc FOR THE WHOLE TEAM. They sacrifice so much FOR THE WHOLE TEAM. See the pattern? Supports are not just for their ADC, but FOR.THE.WHOLE.DAMN.TEAM. And even then, some supports just leave their ADC and instead roam for the whole early game. (Not Bard but i've seen some supports not be in lane a lot) ~ Le Half ADC Main

Apocyliptic3 votes

You still have a whole role dedicated to keeping you safe. If a supports main job consisted of the things you said, then there would be an option for them to support either the top, mid, bot, or hell even jg, yet mysteriously it's bot lane everygame. The supports main job for the first 15 minutes of the game is basically keeping the adc alive, and after that it's making picks and, you guessed it, keeping the adc alive.

This whole game, for better or for worse, is designed entirely around the adc class. You have assassins, a role dedicated to killing them, tanks, a class dedicated to protecting them, and bruisers, just easier to play assassins who run at the adc and wear them down and/or wail on the tanks or other bruisers, but they will still ALWAYS take the adc over any other character if the choice comes down to it.

DJMason881 votes

Well the reason they don't go mid or top is because a lot of normal mid laners or top laners have some sort of defensive or escape ability (CC included) While most ADCs don't have hard CC or big escape abilities. Also, the game is not based on the ADC class. That is completely wrong. The game is based around damage dealers in a whole. You can have a 0/16 Vayne on your team, but also a 16/0 Viktor. Who are you going to protect? Viktor. Edit: Well actually, the game is based around the nexuses and destroying them, so it doesn't matter how you got there. But whateves.

NineTailedMystic2 votes

No. It's because the ADC is almost a requirement every game because of their objective taking power. If your team goes 4 for 5 in a fight would you want the 10/0 Mage to be up, or the 0/5 ADC to be up? I'd definitely want the ADC because they can destroy towers so much faster than that mage can. The ADC can probably tear through 2-3 towers (depending on minions) in the time it takes the other team to respawn, rather than the mage who can probably get through 1-1/2 in the same time late game.

DJMason881 votes

You're pretending that the ADC is the only one that can take objectives

NineTailedMystic2 votes

No, they're the best at taking objectives. APs aren't awful at it due to the .5 AP scaling to damaging towers, but most of them don't build Nashor's so they still can't do it fast. Tanks don't have the AD or AP or AS to take them. Nor do supports. Bruisers have the AD but bad AS. ADCs are the only class that get the AD and AS to demolish towers, and output constant DPS on epic monsters like Baron and Dragon.

morris17 votes

They are still there to keep the ADC alive. That's why they spend the majority of the laning phase with them. Mages don't need help, they have range, burst or survivability. Assassins don't need help, they can farm safely until they powerspike before 10 minutes into the game. Tanks are tanks, they shouldn't even get into trouble. Fighters' sole purpose is to fight, they don't need any help whatsoever 1v1'ing anybody. Most ADCs have no strong escape or peel, that's why the support needs to keep them alive and help them for at least the first half of the game (this is also the reason why there are only so many viable solo lane "ADCs"). I'm all for roaming to other lanes, but if that means leaving your MF alone against an engage lane for 3 minutes while you attempt to get some kills in other lanes, no matter how safe she plays, you shouldn't expect her to be alive by the time you get back there.

I don't ever mind my support roaming (especially if mid need help and the jngl need to either farm or camp top/counter jungle) but when they leave for 5 minutes, or leave when the enemy laners are hard engage and end up freezing the wave so you can't CS, it gets a bit aggravating. If he gets other lanes ahead, it's fine, but if his roaming gets nothing, then it just puts me behind as well. Make sure your ADC can at least keep getting CS for awhile after you leave, and come back at some point - the enemy will notice support is gone and start punishing your adc for it.

Thunderspam2 votes

Yeah I get tired as a supp\adc main getting flamed by my counterpart for not protecting as sona, or not fighting when its a 3v5(us with 3) and less than 300 health when I'm adc. Makes me must wanna go ad soraka or ap jhin. Show them whose boss...

Jimmyyy3 votes

Then when your jungler tries to gank and asks why the fuck you didn't help when you had 230 hp and the enemy has a level on you because they shoved the wave to your turret

Yeah I hate playing adc to the point where i dont even try to improve my adc game. I got so tired of people not even giving me a chance to get strong.

4 minutes intoi the game and people wanting to fight fight fight....i mean damn pls let me farm. Then when you want to fight so early and we die now you complain.....ADC you do no damage.....no shit you jerk we literally just got to lane and you are trying to win the game 5 minutes in.

This is why i main support and if my adc wants to fight then we fight...if they want to farm and wait for a gank then i just sit back and collect xp and free gold from their cs........I try to make it as easy as possible for my adc.

Athenes Lulu9 votes

You forgot the pains when your support is super entitled and just roams off over petty reasons, so it ended up becoming a 1v2, then escalated to your team blaming you. Your support is not designed for roaming? They roam anyways.

Talk about having to play perfectly or else you get just as much blame too, in lane by your support, teamfights by your teammates. On top of having very little forms of self-defense.

Aptest2 votes

honestly i wish ADCs were a little more capable of 1v2ing. Roaming is much more fun than watching a passive ADC CS.

I hadn't played ADC in forever so I fell behind in CS (10 or so). immediately my support started giving my helpful tips like: "Omg CS better" and "I need to help you CS under tower? Wtf you so bad" (transcribed).

When I pointed out that I didn't want to contest CS when the enemy's wave was twice the size of ours, I was flaming apparently.

Luckily, armor pen stack is still broken so I had my fun.

ReZisT Lust3 votes

supports should auto the casters once when under tower so the adc can easily pick up those early minions lol

welovegag3 votes

And the fact that i have seen countless support doesnt know how to help adc farm under turret (if u know what i mean) and just go full wave clear gg

Hige8 votes

you forgot to add that adcs are the most mechanically intensive champion, we need to orbwalk like no other, position accordingly, chew on the right target and still dish out the most damage in a teamfight, one mistake on our end and things start falling appart, not to mention that if by any chance the enemy ADC is a tiny bit better than you, you have someone on your lane watching your every move -.-

Max Fayle2 votes

This, mostly. Last season I used to go top with Renekton pretty much any game I could not get ADC. I actually had a better winrate with Rene than any of my ADCs, when I basically had no experience as a toplaner before and every single spell literally hits everything in a large circle around you. Positioning? Somewhere right on top of the enemy team sounds good, just hit Q all the time and R as required.

That's all I needed to play well in the same elo I could only reach as ADC when, on top of everything else, I practiced hard to watch my own minions to get a chance for a free hit in the enemy ADC while laning.

Leonerdo8 votes

Not to mention the tower changes in last patch make Bot tower easier to take, and oh 400 gold first-tower bonus. So the first team to group bot gets drag + tower + 400g. Clown fiestas indeed my friend; I don't know why I don't see them every single game.

It seems Riot has forgotten about their mission to make top lane important.

Now add in the fact that you picked Bot Morde this game and thus literally EVERYTHING bad that happens is your fault. Bot lane dies 2v2? "GG Morde Bot Troll". Support gets caught warding? "GG Morde Bot Troll". Jungler misses smite on Baron and loses it to a thresh auto? "GG Morde Bot Troll". Top lane Riven goes 0/17? "GG Morde Bot Troll". Trump wins the election and then gets into a thermonuclear war with China, wiping out human civilization as we know it? "GG Morde Bot Troll".

To be fair, he's so bad right now that he may as well be a troll pick. It relies on your opponents being absolutely retarded, and your team to use an adc in another lane. It's not a troll pick, but its extremely off meta, undertuned, and requires your team to adapt your comp like no other champ does.

BIH Diamond7 votes

Yeah try jungling for a couple of games. A laner loses? "Worst jungler, no ganks."

The enemy team groups up for dragon and take it while your team is farming??? " NO drag control, bad jungler"

Take some lane cs when your laner is at base? "WTF stop taking my cs"

At least adcs have a whole role designed to protect them

turret first blood for 400 global gold, and bot lane turret doesnt have fortification, while fortification for all other outer turrets got buffed. makes bot lane the priority target very early on.

TekkenPlayer3 votes

This leads to more issues mid lane. Since mid lane is like the classic rotation, the ADC that lost lane wanders around like a lost puppy looking for food. I dont like being a puppy at mid

FortisDominus5 votes

Then I see that my bot lane never wards and when they get gangbanged by mid and jungle they scream at me (the jungler). Wards help me know exactly where the enemy team is so I can prevent your lane from getting dumpstered, its not only so you know if the jungler is comming bot lane, you know?

Klae4 votes

Botlane this season can be affected by every role in the game early so easily. If midlane falls a bit behind on CS, expect the enemy to roam bot. Did your toplaner lose TP advantage? Expect a TP if you push up too far. As an ADC you have to stay undertower and hope you and your support are able to outplay the dives and come out on top. The amount of focus botlane can get from other laners this season is so tilting because if there are 3-4 or even 5 people bot and no one on your team comes to help you are basically screwed. Hopefully they take other objectives on the map like Rift or towers, but it doesn't happen as often as you'd like.

ValyrianBlade2 votes

Yea, I think the dragon explains it to be honest.

I used to main ADC, it was by far my favourite role and I loved it. This season, I'm starting to hate it. When role selection started I was bot/top, but I've transitioned through top/bot and bot/top to fully top/bot 100% of the time and am starting to contemplate going top/mid.

It's awful. I can never push a single lead, because the enemy mid and jungler will be on me for the entire game. Every mid-late game 2+ enemies will suicide to get a kill on me. Even if 2 for 1 is "worth" it's not fun being the guy that's always the dead one. You can be winning the whole game and one misposition and you cost your team a single teamfight and the enemy ends the game off of it.

The role really sucks. There are a select few ADCs that have it way better (Lucian, Ezreal, etc... those who can reliably escape when they get caught) but otherwise the role is annoyance all laning phase from the 4 man dives and the TP plays in to stress late game that a single mis-position will cost you the game. The role is way too demanding these days.

Jaeryn 2 votes

LOL this post is true in some parts. Whenever the support fucks up the dynamics of the lane. It's always the ADC's fault.

I always get pared up with crappy ADCs who never follow up on a tank tanking everything....
