Does Armor as a Stat even exist?

Like what is the point of even building armor when these are CORE items, on literally everyone that is physical damage.

If you dare stack health, they will just swap one of the Lethality items for Blade of the Ruined King.

Giant Slayer passive on Lord Dominik's too.

I wouldn't say that really affects health-stackers.

It will generally be capped after a single health item, so anything beyond that is unaffected.

It adds quite a lot of bonus damage to all health stackers.

It provides a lot of damage against any champion who builds health.

Considering ADCs generally don't build health items, 500 Bonus HP is all it takes to cap out the bonus damage.

It provides the same amount of bonus damage against a tank stacking Warmog's Armor and a mage with Scaling Health Seals plus a single Health/AP item.

Hell, Ashe gets the maximum bonus damage against Alistar when neither of them have built health items when both are level 18.

Or have a vayne, or kog, or varus, or or or or.... the list goes on and on and on for %hp... Also, this isn't no season 1 hp stack where I could get 8K hp...

Because if you don't build it they will be dealing true damage.

Also, very few champions build all of those items, and an ADC that does will actually do less damage to tanks than a crit build would (with the sole exception being MF with her ultimate).

Lethality makes armor more effective, not less. Three of those items are focused on providing Lethality.

WoonStruck3 votes

Lethality does not make armor more effective. It makes armor more necessary.

#Fucked if you buy armor, fucked if you don't.

Because warmogs doesn't stack last I checked.

Heath regen is the most OP defensive stat available and should never be underestimated and it should keep you alive long enough to kill them.

Renge from Non Non Biyori.

It is a rather cute slice-of-life show which I would happily recommend watching.

I love it when I play against full lethality teams. Thornmail is great since none of them build life steal.

WoonStruck1 votes

Implying they auto attack much at all, excepting ADCs.

Randomonium1 votes

It's still ridiculously gold efficient even if they don't auto attack. If they're not an auto attacker then they rely on burst to kill people. Lethality builds rely on being able to deal near true damage burst. If you have more armor than they have Lethality their burst is no longer effective.

WoonStruck1 votes

I mean, when all of its gold efficiency is its armor and the large majority of that armor is being removed...item 3147 item 3814 item 3036 item 3071 item 3142 +32.5 Leth from runes/masteries

It exists too much before them, doesn't exist at all after them.

Nerf armor, remove LW/BC interactions.

Same with magic damage/pen.

Same with healing/GW.

And then we could add in combat healing back into the game! Not necessarily days of old 300hp/second... but we could have more than 5 per second on tanks...

For some reason, when I read these kinds of post, I find myself thinking, especially when I consider how strong tanks are as a role, that tanks have gotten into this mindset where armor shouldn't just make them more resistant to damage, it should make them IMMUNE to it.

Well, when you buy enough armor to reduce damage down to 30%... and they still hit you for 500-600 a hit, with 2 attack per second....
