Fiora q not focusing vitals?

So the q says it focuses them and i have seen people play fiora on stream and in lcs ect, and it focuses vital but it doesn't for me. i don't know why its not like im just q'ing into them im q'ing to the side the vital is on. 3 times in a row that i could have killed kha last game but my q didn't hit vitals. it still hit kha but it didn't proc the vitals so kha able to just jump away willy nilly without me being able to AA the vital after.

The only time my q ever hit vitals that entire game was if i had my ult on the person. it literally cost me the game because i couldn't kill kha and he out sustained me.

So what am i doing wrong here?

It moves you towards their vital. You have to auto-attack, and you can auto attack during it. That's how you get the reset.

Also, fuck Fiora.

You have to be on the side the vital is for the vital to proc, even for Q.

Two mistakes you might be making.

  1. You can't proc Vitals until the side is solid color. It takes about a second for them to be usable as they are newly coming out.
  2. You can't hit them at angles. You have to be directly on the side the vital is on.
