Dear dumb junglers

I feel like I have to write a jungle guide for the League of Legends community because apparently even in highish elo (plat/low diamond) people still don't know how to jungle correctly.

So let's start off with the last game I played and how my jungler lost us the game.

We start the match and we notice that everyone in the game is around plat 1. Our Vayne, was diamond 4 last season. So immediately we can infer that 1.) We have a win condition that is vayne, and 2.) the player is probably at least somewhat competent given that he was a diamond 4 last season.

Fast forward this game about 5 minutes in and we see elise in a bush bot lane. She sits in this bush and fails to gank about 7 times. She still hasnt left the bush. 5 minutes later she is STILL in the bush bot lane.

So when your bot lane tells you this, and you're playing a jungler like shyvana, what this should basically tell you is that the entire enemy jungle is free. You literally own every single buff and camp on the map because their jungler is an idiot sitting in the bush bot lane for 5 minutes. So if you instead choose to farm raptors or some shit during this period of time YOU ARE WRONG.

Let's fast forward another 5 minutes. Elise is still in bot lane. Literally has not left bot lane. Because elise was also a diamond player last season and Elise knows that our vayne is our win condition. So elise is not going to let vayne get ahead.

So when your support explains to you that they're going to 3 man dive bot lane and you should probably come help because you're level 6 ap shyvana that's the correct play to make.

Think about it in a risk versus reward scenario:

Worst case: You don't come and vayne gets shut down bot lane and they get free first tower. (this is what happened)

Best case: You come and vayne or you get a kill bot lane and we get first tower. (this isn't what happened.)

Because you failed to defend your win condition bot lane we lost the game. This isn't bot's fault. This isn't mid's fault. This isn't top's fault. No, jungler, this is 100% your fault.

So the moral of the story here is that you junglers need to understand you are NOT the win condition. You are not the carry. The bot lane Vayne and similar champions will carry the game. You need to enable them. You need to take responsibility for winning the game. You can't just passively farm your jungler and let your win condition 2v3 the entire fucking game.

The sad thing is, this scenario plays out in every single fucking game of League of Legends in season 9. You either camp bot lane and get them ahead or you choose to lose the game. That is how s9 and s7 and s6 and s5 and s4 and s3 and s2 work. Literally play around your bot lane. It isn't hard.

Stats for the game seem to indicate you (and the negative winrate vayne) played pretty poorly, might be fun to watch the replay and see what really happened.

Edit: Wow you played that so bad. I won't point out the like dozen mistakes before 5 minutes, but just to clarify this part

She was there for 45 seconds during which your jungler looked for the counter gank, when she thought you were safe she did dragon. YOU managed to get caught when you knew Elise was there. Even if shyvanna invaded like you wanted her to, literally Elise's entire bottom side was cleared. You have no idea what you are talking about.

I did rewatch the game actually. I had a challenger friend watch it with me. He agrees the Shyvana played it incorrectly and that I did what I could. You know, stats don't mean much at the end.

Edit: bro you're gold. calm down.

Your friend lied to you. You and Vayne played awful and really have no right to blame the Shyvanna. I will more than happily do a full game breakdown if you would like. Probably would post it in the morning though.

Edit: bro you're gold. calm down.

Do you want me to spend a week or two to climb higher than you? I'll do it if you give me permission to post the full game breakdown.

After everyone just started clown fiesta'ing it was really hard to stay focused.

I got a good laugh from this . So your complaint is that Janna is a simple character to play and I play it in a simple way. Oh, and that Nautilus managed to land a hook or two in lane. Which also happens in all levels of play. My bad dude. Mistakes were definitely made, but none of them threw the game lol.

Your analysis can be summed up as, you should have unreasonably done all of this stuff to prevent this stuff from happening, when most games would just have a jungler that did something.

I really did laugh pretty hard at this. Because I didn't play perfectly the game is my fault. Okay =) Oh, I pretty much was afk after the tower fell. I realized I didn't have a team so I was alt tabbed like half of the remaining game doing something else. Why would I bother putting in effort when my midlander and jungle are both afk?

Your analysis after like 10 minutes in doesn't mean anything. The vayne and I didn't give a shit at all.

Also at the end you see we're clearly winning. I didn't throw the game lol. My vayne was out of position. My velkoz was out of position. My Shyvana did an idiotic tower dive. None of those things are in my control.

LOL you even complain that I stopped a sidelane from crashing because platinum and diamond players don't know to do it themselves. Holy shit dude. You really do seem clueless.

At the end, when we tower dive tier 2 tower top I stop and type. Hey guys baron is up in a minute so let's not make a risky play because it will cost us the game. They ignore me.

At the same time, your jungler could've saw that the Janna support gave first blood to the enemy level 1. As a jungler, it's important to identify your teams win conditions and a 0/2 Janna at 5 mins isn't it.

Yes, this was a diamond and plat game. So we didn't do point defense and they came around behind us. Unfortunately, I can only watch one spot in the river.

Honestly, I had something similar happen in one game; I was Urgot top, had a Irelia mid and Pyke support and Vayne ADC. We're all late game. There was also a Kayle top opponent for me. We had a Kha jungle. Guess how many times he ganked...then guess how many of those were successful. 4 ganks overall (one top, two bot, maybe one mid), no kills. He spent rest of the game farming, ignoring and not helping us, and failing by teamfight stage, 0/8/4.
