I mean he maybe is played in higher elo's and i rarely see him in my gold games. Nobody is playing him except me(well it looks like that) in my elo. I usually stomp people in my elo with him since nobody pays attention at courage and i get a lot of free kills and he can stick pretty well to an target. Is there an reason why he isn't so popular?
He's not a fun champion
People are playing him a lot now. I think people of all ELOs look at the tier lists and buffs and sort of mirror the popular champs in higher Elo.
i used to main him back when i played. he was hella fun. sure some frustrating parts with him but he was a great melee champion.
Kled is one of those champs that was kind of perfectly balanced upon released, so unlike a lot of champs who people complain about being too weak on release and encourage riot to over buff until they complain about them being too strong (that turned into a mini-rant there), Kled never really received too man buffs or nerfs over time. And since he's always been a bruiser that's only really good at single target damage, he's just kind of had trouble finding a place in any meta.
It is a team game after all, and Kled doesn't believe in needing a team to start a team fight.
He's not at all bad. Far from it, he's worth playing (he's my favourite champ), but there's actually quite a few bad match-ups for him, especially when considering he's suppose to have a good early game. It especially doesn't help that armor and MR does very little right now, which means nuking him while Skaarl-less isn't hard if the enemy any kind of CC.
because humans on average don't like playing as characters that aren't human.
Personaly, I do not like to play Kled at all, especially in Ranked, because of the huge amounts of bugs. There are countless bugs in his kit that have never been adressed. If I try and 1v1 my enemy and my Q passes right through them, it could be lane and game changing.
