So with the new...interesting...jungle pathing, ranged ADCs can do the jungle without taking damage.

If you have an AD carry jungling, then not only do you not need a ranged ADC in bot lane anymore, you also need some bulk to compensate for a squishy jungler.

With someone like Vayne in the jungle (because she probably has the best combination of ganking and clearing ability of any of the ADCs that can do this trick), doing a double relic shield kill lane in bot becomes a possibility. Stuff like J4+Pantheon can be incredibly scary to enemy AD carries and supports early game, especially for immobile bot laners. Having two relic shields allows both members of the bot lane to get enough gold to function. I mean, Pantheon's gonna fall off late game anyways, so does he really need a full gold stream?

This exploit is going to get the living crap nerfed out of it in the next patch but until then we might as well abuse the crap out of it.

Did I miss something specific recently?

Rangers have always been able to jungle without taking any damage.

That was the first thing I suggested when all the traditional melee junglers were stuggling.

Back in the day when the new stuff like relic shield first came out my friend and I went duo shield on bottom with the normal adc/support setup. It is pretty viable since there is so much gold gain along with sustain to both of you if you share cs. And as far as I know adc has always been able to clear jungle camps without taking damage. But you could be on to something new. I haven't really noticed.

The "friends" and I are currently running Sion + Quinn bot, both with Relic Shield and the Quinn (me) going bruiser. We almost never have a proper adc in this situation, but the few times we do we actually run them solo top (i.e. Vayne). I shall have to try your proposed strategy.

This thread sounds intriguing.

The only weakness I see in your argument is that I find it difficult to imagine Vayne not dying to Raptors or large jungle monsters. Wouldn't an ADC jungler be vulnerable to invader junglers and Lee Sin?

By abusing the increased number of monster soft resets, Vayne can clear the jungle (excluding Raptors) in 4:20 without taking damage, in a very similar manner to the way jungle TF cleared last night at IEM San Jose.

Plus, I don't think most junglers will be able to duel Vayne in the jungle, where she has much easier wall stuns then in a normal lane fight.

ADC JUNGLE!?

Ranged champions has always been able to clear the jungle without taking damage; they just needed AS runes so the monsters won't reset. However, with the new mob changes, it can now be done without additional AS.

The two main problems of marksman jungling was that they had terrible clear times and that they were easy to counter jungle. However, with the higher difficulty and respawn time of the new camps, these two factors won't be a problem anymore since no one will bother to counter jungle you early on.

Either way, if you are going to run a melee bot lane, mind I suggest Yasuo? His Wind wall absolutely wrecks ADCs, and his ult with a knock up is a guaranteed kill at level 6.
