Besides myself , each game people are complaining about the rank system. IS everyone going into B5 no matter how many games they win? I won 7 of 10 and went b5 another went 8/10 b5 I would like to know because I'm finding games where 1 person is getting 20 kills compared to everyone else on both teams. Far to many people that appear to be of a higher skill in B5

Dynikus1 votesYou're placed based on your mmr. According to op.gg, your current mmr is low for b5. You ended last season in b3. A new season isn't a complete reset of rank, so I'm not sure what you were expecting from placements.

That's actually not true. Look at my account. I got placed B5 as well. Game has a bug with the ranked system right now.

No? Lol! A S5 account has a 69% win rate and doesn't skip divs? Going 7-3 in placements in Plat MMR landing B5 isnt a bug? Interesting....
Dynikus1 votesDid you play ranked in the preseason? looking at your mmr on lolking, no, there was no bug. you can go 10-0 in your placement games, if your mmr is b5, you'll still be placed in b5. and if your mmr isn't significantly higher than your current elo, you won't skip a single division. According to both op.gg and lolking, you have s5 mmr. and you're in s5.

Dynikus1 votesLooking at your match history on op.gg, the highest rank you were matched with was a gold 4, and a gold 5. Besides those 2 players in 2 games, you were matched with bronze, silver, or unranked players.
Cloud2731 votesI think promos are stupid. I don't really understand how placements work, but if you keep winning games your mmr will eventually get you where you belong.
