If you want to learn a champion, have a little courtesy....

and please play at least one game of bots with them before you take it into normals. The necessity varies a bit by champion, but if you wanna learn someone with a decently high skill floor (i.e, useless until you've played a few games like Yasuo or Azir) please don't drag down 4 other people as you go 0-9 in lane trying to figure out what their skills do.

bot games are fucking useless

they're only useful if you're just straight dogshit at the game period

As someone who has played before you were forced to play bots until lvl 5, no. Most newbies then like me went straight to playing pvps and it was fine. And basically for a few games every game you played was with a new champ. I hate how new players have to play an annoying amount against unintelligent, easy, and time consuming bot matches. Especially when you get a friend to start playing and you have to wait for them to lvl up because you know you don't want to waste away hours playing against bots.

Dude, its normals. I mean, I won't say going into a quick custom game and using your abilites on jungle camps to get an initial feel for what you're doing is ever a bad thing, but this game and every champion in it doesn't take much to figure out at a basic level.

You are not required to sit in a practice mode and look over endless combo lists and frame data sheets for hours upon hours on end like you do in a fighting game, I'll tell you that much. (Just got done practicing myself, and my arms are worn out...)

I don't remember asking people to spend hours mastering their champions. I asked them to spend 15-20 minutes playing a single bot game so they have a basic feel for the champ. And specifically on champs that are more mechanically complex. Of course, a first time Warwick would still be useless also unless the enemy team was terribad.
