Hey guys, so I climbed to plat 5 this season mainly playing akali, and I want to know your opinions on this future rework. Majority of people are saying that she is going to be much weaker, and it's a nerf, but I'm wondering if the no pink ward in her shroud will make up for it? Or not? Thoughts?

Irelia Bot2 votesConsidering most akali players kinda learned to play around that pink ward counter to at least some degree it is not a noticeable buff and for all of riots talk about it caterign to akali mains it is more of a dumbed down help to people new to akali then anything.
The shroud mini "flash" is at the expense of being able to use her shroud in many different ways be it checking a bush, check over a wall and then ult to a target, movement speed boost for chasing or running away or slowing enemies. Yes they are all kinda still there but sicne it is automatically placed where you are standing all of these factors are nerfed and they wouldn't evne consider making it to parts where first cast is placement and second is the mini flash because akali already has "too much mobility" even though champs like Yasuo exist.
Akali's damage is down and the time it takes to get damage out is up meaning you are more likely to die while trying to kill a target This is a fact of playing akali.
There was no straight out buffs and the silver linings were at the expense of nerfs.
Fondling Gems1 votesI mean she can jump walls without a target, that alone is a pretty big buff. She wont be able to play as a drain tank but her burst will go up a bit. It is also just a hold over until she can get a full rework, so i don't expect it will change much. I see a 1% winrate change either way at most.
dakota saturn1 votesI'm not an Akali player myself, but her balance is relevant because I'm a mid main. When she's overtuned, she is ungodly frustrating to play against.
The rework has been tuned a bit so the numbers are better for Akali players.
There's a subreddit devoted to Akali - there's a megathread about the rework, and it seems after the last few changes, diehard Akali mains are slowly becoming ok with it.
